If I take ACT on October 26 of my senior year. Will that be too late? I know it may be late for early application as many of them needs to be submitted by NOV 1. For regular application it should be fine. Right?

For regular application, will the Dec ACT be fine as well? Please share your experience.

As to early action or decision, you need to check last test accepted by each college. Most actually do accept the Oct ACT for EA or ED (and many even accept the Nov SAT). Their application deadline is not their test date deadline. But there are some EA schools for which the Oct ACT is too late.

As to regular admission, the Dec ACT is fine for most colleges. A small number, e,g, UTexas, Cal Poly SLO, some others, want testing done by Nov. and some others need testing to be done by Nov if you want to be considered for any scholarships. Again check each college’s rule for the ones you are considering, including because many of them even take the Jan SAT and some the Feb ACT.

One is scholarship through schools you are applying to, another scholarship is through private organizations. When do you start applying for the scholarships outside the school? I’m assuming they would also need ACT score. Do you mention on private scholarship application what your score was or you need to send it through testing agencies? and what is the deadline for all of this?

There are no uniform rules for applying for scholarships from private foundations. They all make up their own. You have to check each to determine what is required and when application is due, which could be anywhere from Sep to June for one to be provided to new freshman who are starting in Aug in any year. Those that use test scores usually require an official score from the testing agency but that is not always true.
