I wrote my first SAT 1 this year, and got an "ok" score. I'm taking it again on Oct 9, but by the time the score comes out, itl'l be really close to the Nov 1 ED deadline. I definitely wanna get my application in before that so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Could I just report my first score on the common app, and then just send the scores (through collegeboard's score send thing) to my ED school? If so, do I need to tell them on the common app that I'll be writing another SAT, or will they just automatically update it...otherwise, what is the process that I need to go through to do this?

Also, I wrote 2 SAT subject tests (math 2 and chem) and got 800's on both. A lot of my classmates are writing 3 subject tests, although the university i'm appluing to only requires 2. I'm gonna be really swamped with my courses this year, so idk if i'll have time at all to study for another SAT subject (November). Would it significantly affect my admissions chances in a negative way if I just took the 2?

The only school that still “highly recommends” three subject tests is Georgetown, though some schools (like Harvard) welcome additional schools. You will not be disadvantaged, except at Gtown, for having taken two.

on the CA at the sat section put down the score you got, and fill another “box” or space or whatever, and on date put the date when you will take it. And thats it, submit your application. Take the test, update your application, actually the sat thingy will send your scores autimatically.

The ‘thingy’ will only automatically send the scores to the schools you manually choose during the registration process. Prior to the test you will get a few email reminders that you can add schools to get ‘free’ scores if you have not designated schools to receive them. If you want a school to receive the scores, you have to designate that College Board does so.

yeah i’ve got my ED school on the free score reports already, thanks.
So all I’ve gotta do is put my “future date” on the common app, with my old scores? Do I need to write anything in the “additioanl info” section?
