Oct/Nov/Dec SATII:Biology E/M Thread!!!

ok guys,

i think that theres lots of people around cc(including me) that are taking the SAT II bio test soon so heres a thread where we give each other ideas, share scores, and ect…

Ill ask a question to start this off:

Are Practice tests scores supposed to vary greatly. My practice test scores were:

700 (Barrons)

720 (Barrons)

590 (Barrons)

640 (Sparknotes)

???

Also, which section are you guys taking the E or M? and Why?

ok…your turn

uh....no one?

I plan to prepare for this after I take October SAT I.

That gives me two weeks to cram Biology M and Mathematics II.

Wow.

How difficult is biolgy?

I'm taking the October one, but I haven't really started studying yet. I took biology freshman year, and I'm taking AP biology right now...so yeah. I'm a little worried. Meh.

You definately need to know your stuff for biology- it's not easy. If anything look through the glossary in your bio book and jog your memory on terms you might have forgotten.

buy Real SAT subject tests and see what u get on the bio section. that will be ur score. personally, i think M is easier. but that's i think cuz i have more exposure. the only reason why E would be hard is because i hate the biomes, vegetation, hardy-weinberg, all that crap...w/e lol.

haha... hardy-weinberg equilibriums... wow that brings back memories. good times, good times.

ap bio rocks.

Do you have to know those mathematical calculations for the hardy- weinberg equilibreum and what not like they ask you in the kaplans practice tests?

uh...no...im on the "organismal" section in the Kaplan book. i took ap bio 2 yrs ago, so i don't remember. sorry. maybe in like 2 weeks. btw, are the Kaplan Practice tests too easy/too hard/just right?

you dont have to know hardy weinberg for sat 2

actually etti you do...at least when i took the practice test from Barrons

its not that hard...just look it up real fast and then memmorize it
thats all....:)

you dont NEED to take AP bio to take this test...At ALL
just buy some Practice books, take those and you should be fine

are you sure? i already know the hardy-weinberg equilibrium but im pretty sure you don't need to know that for the subject test.

you never know that could just be barron's overprepping students again :)

i m thinking of taking the november one lol..mainly because the october one is so near that theres like no time todo anything lol, + i m probably taking math 1 c with it (gulp, must...get....80.0..)

if i do take it i am taking E cause i already took M (790 lol)
but i am definetly taking math 1

so umm why dont we turn this into like a study thread?

omg xylem retake? you're insane haha

I'm probably taking E cause I'm just better at it, and also Math 2c

800 800 800 800 800 800 800 800
