October 14 SAT Cancelled in India?

<p>I got an email this morning from ETS saying that the October 14 SAT has been indefinately postponed across all test centres in India. I cant find a notice on the CollegeBoard website though. I wanted to confirm if this is true and if anyone else has recieved this email?</p>

I registered for Nov.4 SATII and i thought i'd use the time from oct.14 to nov.4 to study for the SATII (3 subjects.......dunno what to do)</p>

<p>Damn that really sucks i can kind a feel your pain because i am indian as well.
Will not taking the Sat's this month hurt the way colleges see you on your applications? Do you have a strong Academic history ?</p>

<p>No thats not the problem.......i had an enitre plan worked out:
Write Sat on oct.14
use time left till nov.4 to study for sat2
nov. 4 - write sat2</p>

<p>Now this screws up my entire plan....</p>

no time to study for the nov SAT2 test (lets hope its delayed)
i called up USEFI they said they will know about the next test date next latest by thursday</p>

<p>the college board website says that the make-up test for some of the centers in india is on 28th oct! Thats way too close to the nov test administration... i was guessing that we'll have the make-up test next saturday, but looks like it will be much later than that!</p>

<p>What nonsense...... The make up test for hyderabad is not yet decided. If its 28th ... i have no time to prepare for SATII</p>
