Let's start the thread.

AAAAGGGGGGGHHHH!!! it was like 10000x more difficult than the mad easy practice psat CB gave this year. i think it was easier than last yr's psat (but i was really stupid back then) but i had NO time to check over the writing section, or the first math section D: i made 2 stupid mistakes in the fill-ins for math.

no particularly hard vocab (whew!) but one question in the passages was tricky. i can't believe i might actually get a better CR score than a math score .. 2 q's in the first math section stumped me and took me like 10-15 min to do (so sad .. but my mind was wandering that time).

and i was so happy that the section with sentence parts correction (where words or phrases are underlined) seemed pretty straightforward .. i only had trouble on 2.

now watch me be the only one who struggled with the math ..

I was stupid on math.

Math was little hard, writing was a breeze, Verbal sentence completion was rather easy, whew. Passages were little tough though. I hope that I can break the 220 barrier this time

I thought math was harder too, but I've checked and don't think I missed any.

Reading, no vocab problems (thank god) and the passages weren't to bad. 75+ I hope

Writing... I missed this one really stupid question... And I hate myself because the error in the sentence was something I considered for a while but thought... nah and put no error.
So that drops me like 4 points (at least, 1 question did last year) :(

Though I can't complain at all really. Did way better than I thought.

When can we discuss specifics? Or can we ever?

yessssssss!! finally pple who share my thoughts!! math wz a bit harder than i expected =O...which means no 700+ on math for me =[ i hope the curve isnt that harsh..ther was this one question [i can vaguely remember] about prime odd #'s less than 6 or something...i got 15...but since there weren't any choices that said 15 i put down 18..i don't know if any recalls this question..but i sorta lost time on math..so yea ..i basically freaked out. =[

writing easier than expected anyone?

i do recal that question

Number of 3 digit numbers where each digit is an odd number less than 6

in which case 1, 3, and 5 are the only 3 possible. So each number could be any of those three making the answer 333=27

for me the question is whether i screwed up the math enough to disqualify me. oh, man: december!

List of 1,000 integers versus integers up to 1,000 messed me up.

guys don't give any details about specific questions yet. wait 24 hours.

nevermind just read post above me

One sad note was that I could not finish the passage on first section, have to leave few questions blank. Damn, it hurts me now. Did you all feel that you had sufficient time to finish all passages?

nope, i was good on reading. i wish i had more time for math. i can barely even remember the problems i did them so quickly.

so the scores will be sent to our schools decemberish? is that correct?

i thought it was a piece of cake. i don't remember doing any problems wrong. but knowing me, i'll probably get the scores back horrible marks. i'm always overconfident.

Remember that this is a released test and we will get the test booklets and answers back, so we can discuss as soon as they are finished on the west coast. ( which is pretty much now) Today's test will NOT be the same as the Saturday test so we can discuss soon!!!!!!

i live in the west coast (yay california!) and i'm done! can we talk about them? pleaaaaaase?

yeay
10char

I had a very evil proctor. She started yelling at a girl which made me lose so much concentration. Anyways, here's how my psat went:

section 1: I lost track of time....I used gruber's reading strategy...evil proctor wasted time...and I ended up not having time to finish the last 7 questions. :(...
section 2: math was way too easy. I'm pretty sure i got all right.
section 3: I used barrons 2400 reading strategy and finished the section in a timely manner and thought i did pretty good.
section 4: Again, the math section was a breeze. easy 80 :)
section 5: It was pretty easy, though i was ambivalent on a few questions. :(

Damn...I feel like berating myself for section 1. There goes the NMSC i was hoping for. :(

yes, i'm dying for some test talkback!! when can we discuss??
