October 15 SSAT

Hey guys, i was just wondering, I ommited a ton of questions....is that really bad? More in math than in Vocab, did anybody else think Vocab was easy?

bumpity…bump…bump…bump…:)

Vocab was really hard. Where did you take it?

midwest…vocab was kind of easy…math i didn’t know four of the questions and I ommited them…grrrrrrr

Oh jeez, the vocab really got me :frowning: math was okay but I know I missed a problem :P

@supersnailqueen Same here. I didn’t like the essay either

the essay was so easy, i felt really lucky…just the math…and one reading passage…

It’s okay guys, remember one wrong is only 1/4 point off, so don’t freak out. But I did feel the essay was pretty easy…did two historical topics I had done A LOT of research on earlier. Did anyone take the sats before, not just ssats? is there some sort of relationship b/w scores?

Upper Level Score Range : 500-800

Verbal Score 770
(Personal Score Range: 749 - 791, SSAT Percentile 94%)

Math Score 761
(Personal Score Range: 740 - 782, SSAT Percentile 72%)

Reading Score 698
(Personal Score Range: 677 - 719, SSAT Percentile 77%)

Total Score 2229
(Personal Score Range: NA, SSAT Percentile 91%)

@Boarding: ideally, you want each of your individual scores 80% +…so if you have a chance to retake and are applying to the competitive schools, it would probably be worthwhile. While 99s across the board certainly won’t hurt you, you are already pretty much in the ballpark, but one more go-round with slight improvement would really put you in the thick of the mix. Then it’s all the intangibles…your essay, interview, how your skills match with what the school wants to fill as it’s putting together a class…

cool, thanks.

did u (boarding st) take the test on the fifteenth?

yes i did.

Oh, yes, I just got the scores. Phew, I thought I failed.

FYI, about what was easy and what was not. My daughter said that she and all of her friends who took the test at the same testing site got different essay questions when they discussed it afterward.

You’re not supposed to discuss it… but whatever, everyone does it anyway  Did ur daughter get her scores yet?

My daughter seemed to think that they were told not to discuss it THAT DAY. Is that wrong?

Yes, she got her scores. She did great.

I don’t think you’re supposed to discuss it online, talking, whatever, because then you could be giving prep to other ppl who are taking it in the future. Do you know anyone who got a perfect score on one or more sections?

I did, in quantitative

^^never mind, that was on the ISEE
