*******October *19* PSAT Answers****

Its ironic because the first three letters of my last name are SAT

@psatperson

lol i just looked at some PSAT books for this test

u know what really stinks? i did so well last year (dont want to be too proud or anything) since i got a 233 for sophomore year but that was without any preparation

and when i go in fact prepare, whoops! my score plummets

wth

ah well just being bitter. what’s done is done right?

Exactly because thats what i made around on practice tests i took (all former administered tests)… But this November 2nd i cant let that happen again

@psatperson

i think its a nerve/ mental things too. which really sucks. im not a really mentally sound person, uknowwhatimean? :P

@psatperson

anyways, what do u think this year’s curve will be? if it’s mean… ;_;

Goodnight (technically good morning) talk to you guys later; and thanks everyone for contributing to this thread. Best of luck and relax because if you are reading this thread you are motivated and determined to succeed and will do fine in life regardless of the PSAT Score you achieve. We all tried our hardest and now its all in the hands of college board so there is no point in stressing about it now.

@PSATPERSON: My state score was a 214 for the graduating class of 214. I live in AZ. I did a fairly good amount of practice (around 6 months on and off). I do regret not doing more though.
@hanapiano: The forms are very arbitrary. It’s hard to determine the score from looking at just the letter of the form. Last year, the curves on the PSAT practice booklet was similar to the PSAT itself, so I’m guessing that it’ll be the same case this year.

@psatperson
Thanks for that motivational speech!
Really perked me up

As a sophomore though, I can’t wait to see my score.
Hoping it’s 230-240

@psatperson

goodnight! nice meeting u :)

@nightlock

Thanks for the info/ advice/ support/ consolation. it meant a lot to me haha (much more than what my parents would give me >.> )

anyways, hope to talk to u soon

Goodnight everybody!

Hey, does anyone know if there are score rechecking services for the PSAT? I accidentally skipped some of the grid-in Q’s and did the rest of them starting from the first box and ended up having to erase everything to put the answers in the right boxes. x-x So scared of the erasures… I’m really confident in my answers too and I don’t want marks to be the reason I don’t get NMS.

Lol I love seeing all of you stress out about missing like 9 total… so far I know I missed at least 5 on each section

I’m stalking this page far more than what can be considered healthy

Hi. Does anyone remember the letters they got for first 3 mc of writing? And also was the animal one a no error? I feel like i got so many wrong on writing :confused: if i get 1 wrong in math 3 wrong in writing and about 5 wrong in reading do i have a chance at a 220? Can anyone give me the worst and best possible score i could get depending on the curve? Thanks so much!

was the bus one 10:00?

^why good morning everybody. chrism0713, i think i got 9:10, so you might’ve added 50 minutes one extra time

ok so i have a few questions.
Can someone pretty please try to paraphrase the question about the artist being deliberate? I don’t remember any question like that.
Also, the bus one. It said it started to leave every 50 minutes at some time (I think 6:40) so shouldn’t the fourth bus leave at 10:00?
And the astronomer one was the one with the colon?
And the Komodo dragon was the one with being in the front right?

good morning to you too!

^stressed4lyfe haha of course! btw i REALLY think that the deliberate/reclusive sentence completion should be put on debate. Because I just emailed Larry S. Krieger, the author of The Insider’s Essential Guide to SAT Critical Reading and Vocabulary, and he said reclusive was correct (that’s a REALLY GOOD BOOK by the way, and if you want to email him, just go to [Insider Test Prep | The Essential Resources for SAT and AP Test prep](http://insidertestprep.com/) and click on the envelope at the BOTTOM of the page)

so the first bus leaves at 6:40. 2nd bus=6:40+50 mins=7:30. 3rd bus=7:30+50=8:20. 4th bus=8:20+50=9:10.

no because it starts the 50 minute time at 6:40 the 1st bus should leave at 7:30??!
