Hi all,
I took the October 1st SAT Subject tests, but I overlooked the option to send the scores to colleges using the free score report while I was signing up. I’m pretty panicked right now because I have a November 1st deadline to meet, and the SAT website says that scores are released the 27th; some other sources say that they may be released earlier but I not so sure about that. Is it only possible to send scores AFTER they are released on the SAT website? I feel like I’ve checked everywhere because, but I haven’t found an option to even select which colleges you want this score sent to. The college I’m sending these to is Stanford. Their website states “Score reports must arrive by the appropriate application deadline.” Could anyone provide insight or advice into my situation? Thanks
Stanford’s website also says that October is the latest SAT test date. If you send scores on the 27th, most likely they will arrive by 11/1. If they arrive a couple of days late, your application will not be impacted. While you must get your part of the app in on time, most colleges have a little race period for materials outside of your control.
Stanford, like many of the colleges with Nov 1 application deadlines for EA or ED, accepts SAT scores if they arrive after Nov 1. Send them regular delivery as soon as they are released in late Oct and you will be fine.
As to method to send scores, for future reference: you have until 9 days after taking an SAT test to identify a college in your test registration as one to be sent scores automatically upon release. From ten days after the test until scores are released, it is impossible to do any order to send the scores. You then can order them sent the day they are released to you online.
