October 2007 - Literature

Was it really as difficult as my son just claimed?

yeah it seemed hard

btw sorry abt this but i didn't realize your thread was here when i made the "official" thread for this test.

Literature was tough. I went in expecting a 750 (worst-case scenario). Now I'm just hoping my score will be in the 700s. Either way I think I'll give it another go in November.

No problem.

He left out 3 and says he should have left out more. Also says it was as hard as the Barrons tests.

Oh well good luck copefan5 and to all who took the test.

I left out 2, abd guessed plenty. I thought the Barron's test was actually easier than this one.

I didn't leave any blank, but I thought the first passage was difficult. I liked the one about South Africa.

Yea it was realllly hard!!!!!

I have question .... Do you think an international student (non native speaker) can do well on Lit ?

It would be very difficult for a non-native speaker probably, but maybe not impossible. Take a practice test and see how you do.

Everyone really thought this was hard? I thought it was significantly easier than the practice tests.

Dude, it would be HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually liked it, lol. But I'm a lit nerd.

Anyone know what the Charlotte and Arthur one was from? I thought it was really funny - would have liked to read more of it!

The first poem seemed to me to be the hardest. Though by the end of the questions it was all clicking together.
