<p>I got a 35 composite but only an 8 on the essay. Not sure why. I did a 5 paragraph essay and my three main points were about how in dire economic times basic financial skills are necessary, how high school has taken the role of “life preparation”, and how students are often saddled with debt after college and need to manage their finances particularly well. </p>
<p>I thought I did pretty well, discussing the broad implications while giving specific examples, but I only got an 8. Maybe the graders were grumpy or maybe they just hated my writing style. Still, I’m not too bothered, it just means I have to pump up my other writing credentials to make up for it.</p>
