<p>Anyone here take Math I? All my friends took Math II - I definitely felt a little inferior..
We can't discuss specifics yet, but what are your general thoughts?</p>

<p>I took 2, and kind of wish i took 1. IIC is more complex, but has a generous curve. (Which means math I is NOT inferior b/c you barely get a curve) I would have preferred the Math 1 b/c i did 0 preparation and knew none of the material.</p>

<p>Math I seemed a lot easier than the diagnostic tests I had taken to study for it. I kinda regretted not taking Math II after seeing the material on Math I, but my friend was banging his head on his desk when he finished Math II, and he’s probably the biggest math person at my school. Or at least he acts like he is. Anyway, I’m really hoping for an 800, but I’ll settle for a 750+. I might attempt to take Math II as I’m not afraid of the SAT Math Subject Tests anymore as a result of my experience today. Oh, and having a TI-89 Titanium makes the math portions of any SAT (Reasoning or Subject Test) much easier. I’m surprised that the Collegeboard lets people use them on the tests.</p>
<p>I took both Math I and Math II today. (Idk if thats a good strategy, but w/e).</p>
<p>I was actually surprised by some of the difficult questions on Math I. Math II was still harder but I would say that its more advanced math, but not necessarily harder questions. (E.g. Math I asked hard questions on lower level math)</p>
<p>I’m not sure which one I will do better on, since the curve is so tough on Math I.</p>

<p>Math I has a vicious curve. You’re basically not allowed to miss any if you want an 800. Also, I know a lot of people in my area don’t bother to take Math I because UCs don’t accept it. The only guy I know who took both got an 800 on Math II and a 600 something on Math I. And he’s quite good at Math.</p>
<p>I’m considering taking it with Lit and Bio M in November just to round out all the tests.</p>

<p>for the cylinder question i got 72pi - if it’s rotated along the rectangle’s longer side, that becomes the height, and the other side of 3 would be the radius, so
V = pi r^2 h
= pi(9)(8)
=72pi</p>

<p>Nahh, Math 2 is nowhere near as scary as it’s made out to be. Just take both…</p>
<p>I took it w/ Bio M, and just like w/ Bio i made some stupid mistakes, but i found the first part of the test was really easy and it gets pretty hard near the end without much time left…i just want the frickin scores already, I can’t take this stress waiting for them…but im really hoping for at least 700 just like w/ bio, but i only studied for bio anyway</p>
<p>I am interested in applying to Northwestern, John Hopkins and Boston University. Is taking the math level 2 a smarter choice than math level 1?</p>
