<p>The “publishing girl” passage was taken from “The Story of an Hour.” We read that story in English in mid-September so I was overjoyed that I knew the answers. I wish that was the whole entire critical reading section haha.</p>

<p>just so everyone knows, the circles answer was not 6/7. The correct answer was 6/11. the question said the total area was pie, the second circle had half the first circle’s area the third circle had 1/3 the area. what was the area of the first circle.
Explanation: the first had to be 6/11. the second was 3/11 and the third was 2/11 adding up to a total of 11/11 or pie.</p>

<p>@ mathismything, the answer was definitely 6/7. You forget that the formula for the area of a circle is A= pi r^2 and you forgot to square the fractions. So the answer is 6/7. Check your math.</p>
<p>^ Also, 6/11 was not C, because C was 6/7. So if you think you marked C, you probably got it right.</p>
