Sorry, it can’t. One is singular. “of friends” is a prepositional phrase that will not affect verb.

What was the last question? It was before sentence 14 right?

A few things driving me nuts.

Anybody remember question #8 in the 10-min section? It’s about some 30 or 33 year old writer who is an expert at something…was the answer A or C

What about the greek and roman question? Does anyone remember the letter of the correct choice?

What were question 13 and 14 about?

EDIT: @canadiankid9

Do you remember the one word difference between answer A and C in question #8?

Greek roman question was #28 out of 35, the answer choice I think was D because I think that was the last part of the sentence error id

Question 13 was about the squirrels and being unique to a environment/area. The correct answer was A

I forgot #14

29- no error who got that?

wildly do you remember the sentence for the greek/roman question? I remember i said there was an error but i forget what part i said there was an error for

For the hybrid car paragraph improvement question asking for what would be best to add to the beginning of the sentence, didn’t the sentence basically say: hybrid cars, electric cars that also use gasoline.

Can any1 verify this.

“While I am acquainted with Mr. Bartholomew and have long known of his interest in the painting, that he would go to such lengths to obtain it astonishes me.”

what was the answer for this??

Can anyone put the compiled list ??

Thanks

@ SAT2350: I pu no error, as did others, but it seems that “it” may be the error, since it doesn’t specify what “it” is.

was the fish one their swimming or swimming

for number 9 or 10 of first writing section

was the bees of life the one with the fourteen year old girl who ran away like the secret life of beees not about this but about fourteen girl,

also dalton on particles shud be no error as i recall

kobe- i’m pretty sure it was swimming

“While I am acquainted with Mr. Bartholomew and have long known of his interest in the painting, that he would go to such lengths to obtain it astonishes me.”

While i did not take the October SAT, i can assure you the answer is no error because it clearly has an antecedent, “the painting”.

@fresh

how would u obtain an INTEREST? It doesnt make any sense at all. You would have a case if both words actually could fit

“While I am acquainted with Mr. Bartholomew and have long known of his interest in the painting, that he would go to such lengths to obtain it astonishes me.”

But “it” does have an antecedent, its painting. If the sentence said "long known of his interest in painting,…it antonishes me. Then you would have a valid point, but as the sentence reads, “it” does refer to “painting”.

For the hybrid car paragraph improvement question asking for what would be best to add to the beginning of the sentence, didn’t the sentence basically say: hybrid cars, electric cars that also use gasoline.

???

Can any1 verify this.

I ran a google seach on the phrase “obtain interest” and every result had to do with financial interest rates.
