Even if “the” was there, “it” would have to be the answer because that still does not eliminate the problem of the “have long known of his interest”. What im sayin is that even if the sentence had “the painting” in it, “it” could refer to “interest” or “the painting”. In any case, “it” must be clear…lemme repeat…“it” must be clear. In this scenario, “it” is not clear.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I said. Read my statement or past posts carefully. I’m agreeing with you.

I’m going to write to them too. if we all write to them, they’re likely to void it…

with 12 essay its 790 which is still amazing

yeah how do we write to them just go on website right?

how many are they allowed to void wont that disrupt the 49 scale tho

why were you saying that math one was wrong? i thought it was ok…

I would def. complain to them. But if i were to favor the side that argued that this question has “no error”, i would have to say that the pronoun takes place of the antecedent closest to that pronoun. “the painting” is closest to that pronoun. Can anyone give me a good reason that counters my statement?

Im just playing devil’s advocate though. But i would vouch for C as my answer.

Here’s the like that gives info. about “Test Error or Ambiguity”:
[Contact SAT](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Contact Us – SAT Suite | College Board)

It’s at the very bottom of the page. There is an email address, as well as a number you can fax to. I think i’ll email.

k what about the just just by by just cell phone is that arguable to write to collegeboard

thanks golobton we shud get everyone who put c as answer to email, reasom especially that it was number 23 and never had problem like that on any blue book tests before that question wated like 5 minutres of my time

Oh yea i read about that issue in this thread and no you cannot write to them about that. However, there was confusion because no one could remember if there was a “you” in the clause. If there was, then “just by” is acceptable but if there wasn’t then “just” is correct.

email for every1 who wants to email and void this hard strange and vague question

mailto:satquestion@info.collegeboard.org

fresh101

it was your in the clause

what’s the just cell phone one? I think i remember a question like that, but i ddin’t remember any problems with it.

Yeah, and let’s email about bartholomew. that was a bad question and if they realize it, they will void it.

wait globo r u calling,

cuz u could get instant feedback and find out bout bartholomew

then “just” is correct.----------don’t complain to them about that. You will look like a fool seeing as how that was not a debatable question.

Oh ****…iz about to get hot!!! lol
