You say “I’m better than anyone else” not “I’m the best of everyone else”.

Essay isn’t important, I got an ez prompt, ran out of room, and had to squish my last two words together.

You say “I’m better than anyone else” not “I’m the best of everyone else”.

Essay isn’t important, I got an ez prompt, ran out of room, and had to squish my last two words together.

the barthomelew one went like…
‘Though i have known barthomelew for years and his interest in the painting,i was shocked to find that he would go through such lengths to something something it’

what’s the ‘it’? the painting or his interest?

For essay, since I really could not think of any example for humor, I set my argument to be humor is not the best approach to difficulty. I think it’s better taking a risk than sitting there, staring at the prompt and write nothing…

I’m pretty confident it was “more.” I read it over several times. I got a 780 in WR in March.

I think it was more too. it was saying “the body was proportionately more muscular than THAT of any other bird”

it’s comparing the body of two birds
the hummingbird’s body is more muscular than that of the blue jay
that’s what you would say. two singular objects. not multiple. therefore, you’re saying more

nice thats what I put. what about the mimicking one?

Do you guys remember what the bird/mimicking sentence was?

^ i dont remember one about mimicking maybe it was experimental

so there was the chimpanzee one, i think the last question of section 10
it said …unique to chimpanzees
a) correct
b)unique about
e)unique of

i put b, cause i thought it was idiomatic, and that putting correct as is would have been way to easy for the last question. also i think it said “unique to” in the other writing section in spot the error, i said it was wrong, again for the same resason… i
i had math experimental, so i know the non experimental was about hybrid cars and such

For sequoia, I got “extend” because it should have been “extending.” Can anyone tell me what the writing experiment was?

@funkadoodledee- When I did SAT prep with AT, they showed us a good format that would help us get 11-12’s, and they told us that many of the people grading our papers don’t like to read super long papers; just get your point across and call it a day.

I got my point across when I took the SAT for the first time in June and got an 11 with no preparation, so you should be a-okay.

ALSO, does the SAT essay play a role in your actual writing score? I’ve always wondered.

It plays a big role, it’s 30% of it.

^^^
a very small role, like 17%.

lol thanks…I’m still confused lol.

^^^
If you get a 0 on essay, you can still get 670-680 on writing section, if you get perfect on multiple choice.

My friend got perfect MC and a 9 on the essay and got a 790 overall. (Dec 08)
I got one wrong on the MC and a 10 on the essay and got a 780 overall. (Mar 09)

I think that Bartholemew question had an idiom error, but I’m not sure…

I started at the bird one for like 5 minutes

I first put most _____

but then I changed to choice C (more than that of any other bird)

For the Greek and Roman Lit one,

was the error “is” - like was it supposed to be singular?

did anyone have a question that had something to do with a turtle…? it was “sitting like an island” or something. I put no error. Does anyone know if this is experimental or not?

idiom question: “unique to” ?

also, find the error question:
Jason is the only friend i knew in middle school who still writes to me regularly.
