<p>lets go over the car velocity questions. i ussually just skip the reading and go striahgt to the questions which is what i did and therefore really struggled with it. then when it was pretty much too late i realized that reading the info was pretty much required to answer them</p>

<p>I don’t understand how a person could have done the genotype section without learning bio…I’m pretty ****ed that I forgot how to cross genes. This section screwed me up so bad that the entire Science section became screwed as well. 10+ wrong for sure…</p>
<p>I’m just hoping that a lot of the last 20 were C/G. Completely failtastic. I hate ACT science.</p>

<p>yeah the velocity problem was easy once you read that a negative velocity meant theey were coming together and positive meant they were going apart, i think haha.</p>

<p>Yeah, this science section seemed awfully hard. On the practice tests I took, I didn’t really have a problem answering the questions, but I only finished on time like…once. On the actual test, I had to guess on at least five problems because of time. I answered the first car velocity question and then decided that there was no way I would get to the last section if I had to wade through the car one, so I filled a random bubble for each of the remaining questions and went on to the last passage. That one was a bit easier, but it was still one of the harder experimental passages. <em>sigh</em> Five minutes per passage is totally not enough time. Also, did anyone else think that the genetics/heredity passage was total bull? I mean, aren’t the science questions supposed to be answerable with just a basic knowledge of science (i.e. you don’t have to know any specific concepts)? I took biology three years ago, so I really had to dig deep and go with my gut on some of the answers.</p>
<p>science was brutal this time around, way too much reading. and the passage with the periodic table, average melting and boiling points…wow.</p>
<p>I took biology two years ago. I haven’t taken chemistry. Put a and b together, pretty sure I got a horrible score. I rushed through it because I didn’t want to linger to long on each question to prevent myself from having a panic attack. </p>
<p>And that car/velocity problem was terrible. I tried to make sense of which symbol meant which (Like V sub XZ) and I couldn’t figure it out. </p>
<p>Does anyone know apx. when scores are supposed to come out? Possibly before the Nov 6th SAT? I really don’t want to take the SAT again…</p>
<p>I agree with you MN. I was like what the hell is this??? I was just drained when I got to the science so I couldnt finish all of that reading.</p>
<p>I don’t spend more than 30 seconds reading the passage. Most question are so obvious you don’t even have to read anything.
But for ones like the hypothesis 1,2,3 passage (light and flowering), reading is necessary.</p>
<p>I agree. The science was VERY hard this time! My biggest problems was the car velocity section and the last couple of questions about the periodic table. And I had 70 A as well.</p>
<p>Hahaha the whole science section is a blur to me! I distinctly remember panicking out and looking at a broken watch like a mad man, I’m pretty sure I cursed (in a very low volume) a couple of times, I had a panic attack, and the next thing I remember is writing about freedom of speech (***)…</p>
