I’m pretty sure the answer was C or H. I think it was the third choice, but I know that it wasn’t the first or second choices.

Aarrggghh! Yes! That stupid last question about which experiment agreed (or was it disagreed?) with both hypothesis 2 (leaves required) and hypothesis 3 (stem required) killed me. Does anyone remember what the answer was? I think I picked the first one but I can’t remember my reason for doing so.

Oh yeah.
I got that one

it was the one with the

|—4||---------------20|

where 20 ws the dark one. first trial at the top of the second page.

because both hypothesis 2 said at least 10 consecutive hours and 3 said 9 hours for flowering. If you noticed, none of the other answer choice actually flowered. only one of them did, and that was the answer.

QUESTION: What was the asnwer to the one that said from X’s perspective, which trial was Car Y going t the fastest speed. I said Trail 5 with the +1 because the rest were negative and that means the cars are coming closer together which means that cary Y wasnt traveling with much speed as if the distance was growing apart, right?

Whew! That means I got it. As for the car question, I unfortunately can’t help you. I only answered the first question in that passage and then skipped the rest. :P

WongTongTong: I chose the -8 because one car with the respect to the other is always the same for some reason (this doesn’t make logical sense to me) and since velocity is a vector, |v| is speed. -8 has the highest absolute value.

wait, was the 4, 20 Light one experiment 12 or 14?

^ yeah… hats what I was thinking, but If the - sign means they are going…

oh ■■■ me. yeah i think ur right.

oh well, -1 so far. ■■■.

It was NOT 14, it was 12, if I remember correctly. i remember 14 said it didnt flower.

I didn’t understand the last section, with calcium carbonate.

CACBAC

I guessed that. Is it right? ??? :(

lol i have no idea what I put, but it wasnt that bad

for the first one, i assumed that only the CaCO3 reacted with the acid and nothing else right

also, for the second one it assumed that at 14 sec, the pressure stopped increasing and stayed constant?

WTT: It means they’re getting further, so one is going really fast and one isn’t. The thing is, you can’t tell which is which because the CarXY is the same as CarYX. I think you had to look at ZX and ZY in order to find out which is going fast. That seems like a lot of work for a little time.

@WongTongTong

It was actually experiment 10. The question asked for the one that agreed w/ Hypothesis 2 and 3 that SHOULD flower (not necessarily the one that did).

Hy2 said plants needed 10 total/consec hours and leaves to be intact.
Hy3 said plants needed 9 hours and the leaves didn’t matter.

Choice A didn’t fit any criteria.
Choice B, C, D worked for all of them, if you discount the status of the leaves.
However, to answer the question, you needed to look at if they had leaves or not. C and D didn’t have leaves and so by Hy2’s logic, should not have flowered (it doesnt matter what actually happened- just the circumstances matter) – and so are not the answer. B was the only option remaining and worked bc the leaves were intact and received sufficient darkness.

hmm, I dont think it said should, but I could have looked over it.

So is -8 confirmed?

wait what the hell, were the two cars going toward each other?

also, another answer: one of the car questiosns was -4.

Yeah, -8. 10char

For the question that said which hypothesis would be weakened, did you guys put none of them?

^I believe I did

I also put none of them.

any comments on my CaCO3 answers?

So I totally thought that the science this time was REALLY hard. I guessed on alot of it, and alot is an understatement :(
