October 2010 CR SAT Thread

Yeah I meant unremitting, sorry.

Unremitting seemed to fit correctly into the sentence. I hope it’s right.

-the purpose of the personal anecdote in lines __ was to introduce something
-lively and compelling for the question about the ‘fizz’
-for question with 2 people, she wasn’t the only one that preferred less ornate writing

Do you guys remember the questions and other choices more specifically?

3 or 4 wrong depending on trojan war question. i put probably yes and i still think that the answer is probably yes. i read book reviews for the book and the entire time the author argues that the trojan war DID occur and that we have not found anything contrary to its occurrence. what is -3 or -4 on this test. im thinking a -3 is a 770 and a -4 is a 760 or a medium curve. I personally thought it was a harder than average test but idk. what are your opinions?

3 and 4 wrong are -4 and -5 raw. Probably 740~770

What exactly did the choice with the word “introduction” say?

Was archaeology or something an answer to one of the questions? The one questioning whether the trojan war happened. Or did I get that wrong?

archeology was an option for what influenced tyocleces the most or whatever. the answer i think was homer

gt hopeful- yes, it should get you at least 700.

Hm.
Well, I’m sticking by archaeology, because his entire system of beliefs centered around his archaeological findings, I think.

I’m not starting another argument, though. I think we all just need to calm down and wait until the scores come out.
knows this won’t happen

one of the sections only had 23 questions right?

@andisaid
yes

does anyone remember the sentence/context of these sentence completions?

were these obvious answers? yes/no :)

@duckBlase

 • Idk about circumspect/erroneously, I forget that question.
 • Wasted was something about how all the space on the spaceship was taken up so there was no space [wasted.] I forget the exact wording, but it had to do with how there was no space wasted.

And yeah, I thought the bottom two answers were pretty obvious.

@boston
k thanks. i do hope the consolidated list here is completely right lol

It was definitely not talking about tone. In the sentence, I recalled it never said tone on the question. it said, “Compared to passage 1, passage 2 is more…”
balanced

The scientists were especially [circumspect] about releasing their newest statement, as some previous ones had proved [erroneous].

@NYEM
cool thanks
@Diboy2
i think you read it backwards
bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhh

@Diboy2, the answer was emphatic. Regardless, everyone’s still split about the question.

What was the answer choice that had “journalists” in it?
