October 2010 CR SAT Thread

same for me except for passage 1 lol.
am i correct in assuming we all took the saturday sat? has collegeboard ever changed up the questions…?

^^That wasn’t an argument, I just stated what I remember. I think you’re better off not commenting at all.
^Yup, Saturday.

I put emphatic. Is that correct? I’m so confused lol.

emphatic is 100% the correct answer, I’d basically put my life on it (not really but you get the point)

also does anybody know what page the most recent consolidated list is on?

145 i think

i just checked. its on page 152

never mind…not 145

is relationship between style and substance correct for sure?

And probably not vs. probably AND purpose of the anecdote are still being debated right?

@ viggy
relationship is style vs substance is correct
i have to say the answer is probably probably did not occur
don’t really remember the anecdote question too clearly, but i put to introduce something

Probably DID occur because nothing to refute it!

and I think I got the anecdote wrong then because I put to reflect on the nature of writing

What question was “style vs substance” for and the other choices for it?

i as well answered probably did occur, because no evidence to refute it. but i’m almost certain that’s wrong :(

I still don’t think emphatic was majority
Well wait once we get enough votes.
Emphatic-4 balanced-3

WHy duckblase are you almost certain that it is wrong?

another vote for emphatic :)

I put down probably did occur, then was convinced it was wrong, then I changed my mind for the second and last time, that it probably did occur, for many strong reasons that I thought over for the last two days.

We will see on the 28th i guess

emphatic is correct. my vote.

style v. substance was the q. about the entire last paragraph, like what is was about.
other options was ‘different approaches to writing’. (these were the 2 ones to choose from…others were bogus answers)

You know, at the end of
the homer passage, it definitely has the answer. It was restated on the question . It probably occurred because there was no evidence to disprove it.

So, tell me if I am correct. There are only 2 legit q’s that CC is divided on. (probably v. probably not AND purpose of anecdote).

I just want to be certain so I can get a better idea of what I got on the other q’s. I’ll wait until the 28th to know about those other 2.
