October 2010 CR SAT Thread

@ qwerty - yes, the intl. sat has a separate thread. It may be buried a few pages in by now, though.

oh great I was thinking that some sort of huge mistake had happened lol
thx

Case settled.

bump. can someone with -0 post all correct answers to controversial answers?

Agreed. I would especially like to see the answers about the Trojan War, and whether the movie critic one referred to passage 1 or passage 2.

I missed one and I know exactly which it was (it was a sentence completion).

What I remember answering:

Homer is Thucydides basis for his argument.
Trojan War probably occurred because there is no evidence against it.
Kael’s works were subject to controversy (very last CR question)
Emphatic, not balanced.
Solution to rewilding was inadequate.
Fizz is lively
Events of rewilding were undesirable.
Antidote, not stimulant

I only missed two passage based questions and one of them was

Kael’s works were subject to controversy (very last CR question)

not sure what the other one was though…

Wedge what did you put for the one that was what is the purpose of the anecdote in the Kael passage because I think thats the other one i may have missed.

If only I didnt miss so many sentence completions I could have gotten an 800 :(

so the probably probably not question was probably occurred?

Yes. It probably occurred because there wasn’t any evidence against it.

Linger, I don’t remember the question you’re talking about. Do you remember any of the answer choices?

Wait, a quick question, but was the SAT tests different for Americans and internationals?

^ Yes, the tests are different.
