October 2010 CR SAT Thread

The theodysus one should have been based off of homer’s epics because it said contrary to homer’s epics in one of the sentences right?

I got passage 1 makes points to support a position and passage 2 gives general points that conflict each other. Is that right?

Passage one - give points.

Also, the question is (im absolutely positive) asking about P1.

what do you think the curve will be for this test? Do you think it will be as lenient as June’s curve? I am really hoping that - 3 is a 780

spt-leonidas

I put archeological evidence… but that’s most likely wrong.

for the disagreement one i put objective or something im pretty sure its right

I second tvremote and seminolefan

Okay let’s count up who thought the question asked about p1 and those who thought it asked about p2. Emphatic v. Balanced

p1:

P2:
Alihaq717

What’s a -10? Lolol Reading is my weakest :///. All I want is a 650! My writing will carry like crazy.

harambee and i concur.

p1: papapia

P2: alihaq717

passage 2 was balanced passage one was like one sided

for the “discerning” question, the quoted text seemed to make it seem as if almost everyone would not care. Only like people who don’t like being tricked and ____ would care. Can’t one be discerning and still have no problem being tricked?

Does anyone remember any questions from the conflicting passages about conservation?

For the tallying, I put emphatic for p1.

P2 balanced for me.

@Does anyone remember a answer, from the rewild passage, that said the authors were taking positions on an issue?

oblivion, i think that’s what i put.

there goes your 2400 Alihaq lolol jk

Before listening to any of these posters, please be wary that most of these people are struggling to break 700 on CR and have almost no idea what they’re talking about.
