October 2010 CR SAT Thread

“a significant personal pastime” was an answer in the jumping rope passage, right?

I concur with Bw’s analysis, and would like to add that it would tend towards inadequate since passage 1 seems overly alarmist, therefore, inadequacy would fit in with its overall tone for urgent action <—maybe someone has said this already in previous posts but this is just my own reasoning

for the 100000000000000th time, what were the other choices to the illicit question!!!

I also had a short passage about a girl on her tenth birthday except it was about how when she was younger, on memorial day, her family tricked her into thinking that the parade was for her since her birthday was the same day as memorial day

what did you guys get for the fizz/american slang question in kael’s article? NO ONE HAS EVEN STARTED TALKING ABOUT THIS YET

^I thought the answer for the question about fizz was lively and compelling…

Yes, I also remember getting that

why does everyone say wait for oct 23 when the scores are coming on the 28th

@ truffle i think it was already agreed upon that it was lively and something else
the first choice, A

the decorum had “dignified and polite society” i think in the sentence… and i remember (A) was eminent and (C) was decorum.

@Trufflie: Pretty sure that it was already agreed upon that it was A, something about lively and ______.

@Takayu: Cool, thanks, was getting worried. (:

can someone please recreate the question about “the doctor and his team”. i don’t remember it at all.

holy *ing *. sigh minus 4 now. omg.

Since less ornate and she was not unique are the answer to the same problems about why mention 2 other people, does anyone remember what is the next question? I remember it is about line 35-37 that further explains it?

what the other choices…

Can we add circumspect…erroneously to the list??? or was the the answer to an experimental.

Also does anyone remember if the one with the elephants thriving was an easy one because I dont remember it and I hope I didnt miss it.

Illicit illicit illicit other choices other choices other choices

@Linger nope that was not experimental. I got that answer

the doctor and his [teamates] come from various background, are eclectic, b/c they are engineers, teachers, and nurses.

this is the idea, obviously this is not

also why does every1 say wait for oct 23, when scores come in oct 28

I also remember getting this, can anyone else confirm that this wasn’t on the experimental

The scores are coming out on the 28th
