October 2010 CR SAT Thread

@user2134 and Linger: what were the other choices?

@IKnowYou: other choice was diffident…aversion toward

was “nonchalant…________” an answer for the sc?

@XRCatD sorry, i really can’t remember any other choices

@jollybjolly which question was that?

@jolly: no it was another choice… i think circumspect erroneous

@jolley, nonchalant was an incorrect answer choice for the one that the correct answer was circumspect and erroneous

What question was circumvent/erroneous for? I believe I had that as answer but I forget the q.

@user: was unique a choice? or was that another question

“She was not unique” was a part of the “less ornate” answer, correct?

okay… i think for now, accroding to the thread, i got 5 wrong… Really badly hope no more! ahhh i wish it’s a complete thread.
Anyways, what would be my score of 5 wrong? Any idea how curve is going to be??
At least I hope it’s just an average curve.

I believe so.

If I compare my answers to list I got these wrong.

24.thucidides based most of his work from Homer

27.probably did occur because there was no evidence against it

36.Whom would it offend? - Discerning Moviegoers

41.for question with 2 people, she wasn’t the only one that preferred less ornate writing

51.concession leading to rebuttal

61.shortlived

I think 24 is still archeological, and I’m pretty sure 36 was vertually noone.

So lets say I got one of those two right and missed 5.

how much score can I expect?

PS: what was the question that has “concession leading to rebuttal”?? cause I don’t remember anything about that…

@XRCatD hmm… i don’t think so

if anyone has links to the passages, please post them.

I also cannot recall this question, someone remind us?

for the rewilding passage, does the answer with “ethical because humans were part of it” actually contain the word ethical in the choice. i recall another answer choice that stated that humans were involved with endangering or something…

@kimbh I believe the question asked “what is the purpose of line …”, which said something like “Yes, conservation can be of some help to the environment”. (i’m sure the wording is very off). And then the author goes on to argue against conservation.

I think I put “unique”, can someone confirm?

it shouldn’t have been wasteful because the 1st author says that even if his own plan was expensive, it was well worth it. which means he doesn’t take finances into a great account. he would have just thought the 2nd author’s plan would be inadequate, or not enough to solve the problem.

still in dark… do you remember other choices for the question?

Did any of you have a section with 23 questions
