When did you take the test? That must have been a really harsh curve.
^ last march

Inveitable vs undesirable? Also how does the curve and omitting answers work Harembee?

undesirable

does nobody know the question for “introduction”? (for the 5th time)

can someone please explain the inevitable OR undesirable question please? cuz we keep going back and forth.

Let’s say you miss 3 questions and omit three questions, and the curve is

-1 800
-2 800
-3 800
-4 780
-5 770
-6 750
-7 740
-8 730

Since you missed 3 and are penalized by .25 for each question, you would lose 4 points, and since you omitted three, you would lose 3 points (without the .25 penalty). Thus you would have a total of -7, and your score would be 740 (according to this curve)

the exact quoting for the did not occur was this, “Probably did not occur because of lack of evidence” , i don’t remember it being strong like putting “absolutely”

It was the film critic question where the narrator went to Kael’s house, and saw her holding a pencil or something. Anyway, it was a small anecdote about that and the question was like the purpose of the anecdote in lines __ is to:

I thought ‘introduction’ was the anecdote about the porch. Was introduction an incorrect answer (since opinion on writing is the write answer) or is it the answer to a different question? I thought it was part of the same answer since before the anecdote the author was talking about something else, like people slandering her, so it makes sense that the anecdote would be an introduction to talking about the opinions on writing.

@austrianpog

it is not inevitable since the passage is telling people to do this retribalization or whatever. The retribalization would be a solution to the problem, so the projected future isn’t inevitable, since there is a possible solution.

(I know it’s not retribalization, just can’t remember)

Ok so what is the most I could miss and still get a 710 on CR? (I didn’t skip any)

Thank you Harambee, even though I vaguely remember that question, and am still thinking its the same one as “nature of the writing”. But that’s fine, I guess I’ll just wait until the 28th

I missed 2 in all the passages so far…

and 6 in vocab :/

Ouch…

Should I cancel my score and study vocab more?

@phillyfanatic427, rough estimate: 6-8?

So is it the same question as the nature of writing because I pretty sure it is.

thank you lonelyway!

Can anyone confirm this answer…it was the one where it asked what does this reveal about the author…the answer choices were “reveals about the author’s character and then about writing style” I put reveals about the author’s character.

^ I put author’s character as well. I chose that over demonstrating the relationship or whatever.

^ DO you guys remember the questioN?

I also put character, but many posters have said that was wrong.

@Harambee Do you remember what the question asked?
