October 2010 CR SAT Thread

what question had wasted as an answer. idr any vocab with wasted as an answer. there was on in the CR with wasted as an answer but i picked inadequate.

@jollybjolly “Author” is always used to refer to the writer of the passage.

Maybe so, but the answer choice said “AUTHOR’S”. That most certainly refers to the author of the passage, not Kael.

Can someone find the link that was posted to the kael passage? I still think the answer is it revealed something about the author’s character.

Wasted was “no space was ____ in the spaceship, because nothing in it was unimportant” or something along those lines

according to this list i have -7. which is 710 yes?
and the weird thing is I got all SC correct. It’s the passages that screw me over. I got -7 on passages. WOW WHAT THE ****
that sounds pretty odd.

I agree ^^

Oh, okay. There’s usually two questions to short passages, so I was wondering why there wasn’t another question to that short passage.

i’m jealous papapia >.>;

i got almost nothing wrong on the passages

EVERYTHING wrong in sc D:

-8 now so far :[

^Im jealous of you. Passages are harder than SC

scores definitely under 700 for reading though

without sc i could get a 800

dissapointing :/

what was the SC with “wasted”??

@abercrombie- There was no space [wasted] in the spaceship. … Something like that.

Quoted form the passage:
“As you connect your thoughts-as you try to make them coherent by the simple method of fixing your sentences, making the words flow, correcting imprecisions-an argument emerges”
I remember one question asked what does this line suggest, and i put down a choice that said “thoughts come into focus when one tries to express oneself”.

Does this ring a bell for anyone ?

what were the other answer choices for "both authors took a side " for rewilding passage

2.prolific…trenchant
3.retiring…penchant

5.ecletic
6.unremitting

anyone remember the sentences for these and/or the other answer choices?

@user- yea i think i put that

what were the other choices for that wasted question on the spaceship? was it one of the first questions in the section?

@loopyz

For unremitting the sentence had the word ceaselessly in it.
I hope that helped.

Yeah, I remember that. Do you remember the other choices?
