October 2010 CR SAT Thread

@ annoyingaakash12

yes it was the very first question on one of the sections

@Jolly nope sorry

for the “both authors took a side” was one of the answer choices , they are trying to disprove the others opinion. cause i think i put that. this is for the rewilding passage

thanks @user

can’t seem to remember it though :confused: anyone know the other answer choices maybe?

2.prolific…trenchant
3.retiring…penchant

5.ecletic
6.unremitting

sentences would be fine though. just trying to bring some hope back :D

does anyone remember the question for “47.undesirable”? it was in the Rewilding passage…

There was only one question to one of the small passages because that section only had 23 questions (which was strange). The 20 min section later on had 1 additional question to compensate though.

And what was the Mother/daughter short passage about? I totally don’t recall.

@jasyland

the question was referring to the middle of passage one which said something like “blah blah will surely…”

the debate is between undesirable and inevitable, most in previous posts have said undesirable

does anyone remember provocative being an answer?

the question asked about the 1st passage though, not the 2nd and the 1st was was more emphatic

Dude, I seriously don’t remember unremitting one for SC… I might have bubbled in wrong OMG… SO scared. Does anyone remember on which section the question was and what other choices were?

It was about a mother and daughter - both Vietnamese immigrants. The passage talked about the daugher getting an education.

I definitely remember seeing provocative as an answer choice, but I don’t remember putting it as an answer

No, I think its the other way round. Either way, it’s a fairly even split and the question isn’t confirmed yet

Yes, I remember it asking about the 1st passage, and if that was the case, then emphatic would have fit

Note to all- I believe the mother one was very likely Conceding, not Conviction. That question was out there to get people who were just looking at the question, but no the passage at a whole. In the context of that whole story it does NOT make sense for the mother to say that with conviction…

Throughout the rest of the passage, the author chronicles the struggle of convincing his mom, and even how at the end, his mother was still wary but accepting of the idea.

I can see how both answers could work. I thought the question was like in lines __ the mother’s tone is of conviction.

i only chose inadequate cause the 1st passage kept saying that using money to fund for rewilding is important even thoguh it has its risks so i didn’t think he was a penny pincher type of person

I dont remember “conceding” to be an answer choice. (concession?)

Wait, what went down in the Mother/conviction passage? I completely forgot that one
