October 2010 - International SAT

I’m going to slaughter my 690 writing…

690 CR
770 M (God damn it!)
680 WR

Damn it, I thought M 800 is obvious. CR does anybody know the curve is harsh or whatsoever? WR essay 10, MC 65.

No f*** way…i got 2390…OMG Im gonna cry, my parents are going to kill me and they Im stabbing myself
MY LIFE IS RUINED…

some people ur ar pathetic…how can u possibly be saying that ur not satisfied with scores of 2000 and above, especially since u are all internationals. Im an undergrad at Columbia and i got in with an 1900. Talking with internationals friends of mine here Ive seen that their scores are not all that perfect. Though they are interesting and fun people who u really enjoy hanging with. Students that have aspirations, who set goals and try the hardest to achieve them. Colleges want to see this and not arrogant teens who cry over a 2200 SAT composite score.
Relax…SATs is not what life is about, and is definitely not what will get u into your dream college.
Peace out

Superstar14, i’m not sure that i’d ever heard of someone being upset over a 2390.

M-800 :)

cr ** 670 ** :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

w-710 :(

@goldnano: The math curve IS harsh. I honestly think I didn’t get any wrong. I skipped 1 question. And I got a 770 too. I see a lot of 770s on the forum.

@mickjagger: I have. Last year’s valedictorian. “I got a 2390 on my SATs… Should I retake it?” I simply lol’ed. There’s not much to be said to that.

@mickjagger-he was being sarcastic!!
wow i feel so bad.
i got 2140
M 750
CR 670 :frowning:
W 720
■■■

^lol I thought you already knew your score :stuck_out_tongue: You called right?

yes that lady gave me score range
this is nothing close to it!!
if i took the average of all those ranges and added them the total came to 2210.
but this is ahhhhhh

Superstar, I hope to god you aren’t a ■■■■■.

Hiii

I have my registration number
My Collegeboard account Says You haven’t taken the SAT yet Register now

I am very nervous about my Score
Plz HELP :(

I checked answer here and missed two…
thought I was gonna get something like 730

but CR 780!
Math 800
Writing 720

I’m so happy!

@Milkana

Don’t panic. Give it a couple of days if you’re not applying early. If it still doesn’t show up, then call CollegeBoard. It happened to me once. I went on, and all of my scores were gone. I dug up all of my old e-mails from CB, got my identifying information, and asked them about it. The next day, they were back.

740 CR, 800 Math, 770 WR (9 essay) so 2310. I expected any score between 2100 and 2300 so yayayayay. Anyway I am surprised by the 9 on the essay. I thought it was an 10-ish essay.

2230 seems depressing On CC…I am officially not retaking!!! I AM NOT RETAKING!!

Back to the real world. 99 percentile in Maths and CR are fine by me. And a 90 percentile in W isn’t the worst thing possible.

^Sorry for the rant. I have to convince myself that I will not retake.

EDIT: FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES CHECK:
http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/sat_percentile_ranks_composite_cr_m_w.pdf

I am on 99 percentile overall woohooh!! Thanks Impero.

2230 is like a 99th percentile… Just forget it. It’s way good enough.

CR 800
M 770
W 760
2330/2400

feel like I’m on top of the world right now
honestly though, I’m not sure how I did it - pretty sure it was a stroke of luck xD

(on a more serious note, do you guys reckon that I should take it again? this was my first time taking the test - honestly not trying to be a b*tch, here, but since Brown is my dream school, and they superscore the SAT, should I try to pull my math or writing up next time? Would a superscore of, say 2370 look far more superior than 2330?)

^If you retake they might actually reject you for being too obsessed with SAT scores. :)

Seriously, there is NO reason for you to retake.

@ilatte: if you had finished your application essays and known nothing else to do, just retake to make it better. If not, it’s hella better to polish your app, because a difference between 2330 and 2370 is not that …

Anw, I would trade many things to get your score. I’m so depressed right now. Too far from 2200 level. Retake in dec.

I think our 2300 is worth far more than that of an American student. Anw, we’re international student and english is not our mother tongue.

^ hmm, well I’m a junior right now, so I have a lot of opportunities to retake.

does anyone know about how this SAT compares to the SAT in December/January (general trends like the curve, difficulty of questions, etc)?

@debarghya9: haha, that would be pretty bad…funny thing is I never thought I’d be the type to spazz over SAT scores - but now I’m all paranoid. I think just being on CC can make a person do that xD
