October 2010 - International SAT

ilatte: I think the general concensus is that October curves are horrible, so you might do better at later dates. But I wouldn’t bank on it. I mean, opinions are so polarized about whether you CAN predict the curve. Just do your best every time. And there’s score choice now. If you get better next time all around, then you should just send that one as to not… appear desperate. Although I’m not sure why you’d want to do that. Your score is good enough for ANY school.

Christiansoldier retook 2380 to get a 2400. He was rejected from Yale and Harvard.

Your SAT scores won’t make much of a difference anymore because you’ve already come so close to 2400.

please explain…i dont get it

M 740, CR 700, W 600 :frowning:
Your scores are so damn fantastic guys, are you sure you’re international  ?

can’t wait for score reports to come out on nov 2!

800 (M)
800 (W- 12 essay)
660 ( CR)

would a 2260 one sitting look better than a - say- 2350 super score ?

If not Im gonna retake it. I got the CR experimental and completely messed up the last section and the CR score ruined my life

^No, a 2350 superscore would look better (it’s almost a 100 point increase)

Still a great score^
Unless you’re aiming for HYP and have weak ECs, there’s no need in retaking it.

my scores have been delayed :(

^why? that sucks :(

It’s really hard to write this in a way that would prevent me being attacked as a ■■■■■, but - 2400! With a 9 in the essay, but still! And to consider that I only changed the answer to “ability to” in the last several seconds of Section 10…

Great job, everyone! We’re here to make sure that the United States get yet another influx of really, really smart people :)

^hahahaha i literally LOLed

I got
740 CR
750 M
Superscored, my writing is 780.
So in total, it’s 2270.
Do I need to retake or should that be okay? My dream school is Columbia.

@rainbowsprinkles I have no clue, but it is very sad and I won’t sleep for an entire week… It really frustrating since my deadlines are all 1st/Nov. and I haven’t seen my scores grr.

^Oh, my god. That’s horrible! Especially because you’re ED :frowning:
You should call them-someone else did in one of the forums and told them that it was “unacceptable” and CB released their scores.

@rainbowsprinkles wow!!! I think I am going to call them, at least to know what is going on… I am pretty sure I didn’t write anything wrong about my info. in the test as they
suggest
and it wasn’t even a late registration… Oh well…

Congrats to all of you!!! You all have great scores!!!

I can’t believe this.

710 CR
710 Math
750 Writing

Both CR and writing have jumped tremendous amounts to where they are now. But my math dropped 50 points!? It’s my strongest subject and here is my SAT score suggesting it’s my weakest. I suspect this is someone else’s score.

^same! My math dropped 50 points but both CR and W have increased a lot!

Superstar- What I meant was that I hope you weren’t lying about your scores and the rest of what you said just to make us feel more confident :)

How did you get a 2400 with a 9? With conventional curves, you would get all Writing MC right and at least a 10 to get an 800.
