Which test(s) did you take? Do you think it was easier/harder than average? How harsh do you think the curve will be?

Definitely the tests overall were all DIFFICULT! I think most of them were harder than the CB practice tests so maybe most of them will have more lenient curves than the CB ones…or else that wouldn’t be fair at all! I took Math II, Physics, and Chemistry btw. I thought Math II and Physics were VERY challenging.

I took Chem and Math II. Chem did have a few confusing questions, so I think -3/4 will be 800. Math… personally I thought it was hard, but then again I did not manage my time very well (left 5 blank and got 1 or 2 wrong :(). I think -6 might be 800.

I thought -3/4 for chem and -6 for math2 was the usual curve…?

The French test was probably more difficult than usual (based on the general consensus from the French thread).

what did you guys who took math1 think?

Are SAT II curves predetermined? Then for those who took Physics, do you guys think the curve will be more lenient than the curve in CB?

Are SAT II curve predetermined? Then for those who took Physics, do you guys think the curve will be more lenient than CB? How much more do you think?

yes they are predetermined

^How do you know that the curves are predetermined?? I believe that they make a normal distribution from the data (raw score) of the students who takes the test.
^^Physics curve should be lenient, but I don’t really know how much lenient… :-s

@mathmad how many did you omit and how many do you think you got wrong? what do you think a raw score of 50 would be?

I think that I omitted 4/5 and maybe 8/9 wrong. I’ll be very happy if I get 770 or more.
According to the collegeboard’s official blue book, the for a raw score of 50 you should get 720.
But from the discussion of the CC forum, we can predict that the curve will be a bit more lenient. So you can probably hope for 730-740.

What happens if you took Physics SAT II and got a 700 above but you never took AP Physics or IB Physics as a course in school. Will colleges take that into consideration?
