October 2010 - SAT Sunday Test

I also did the isolated choice- is that wrong?

and it was Austria, wasn’t it?

Damn. I just don’t understand why it was isolated. Looking back I still cannot see why it was that answer. Nothing in the passage indicated loneliness

Nah redjohn (interesting name bro) it was isolated, cause i remember the question asking why she said it would be less painful of a visit if it was near a movie theater or something like that. I think it was referring to the scenery of where her great aunt’s house was located

Guys I have a question: how do I take Sunday SAT if I recently converted to Judaism?

that was a weird passage…i didnt even get what it was about until the end of it…

THIS IS WHAT I HATE ABOUT CRITICAL READING. LIKE I THOUGHT SHE WAS BORED AND THAT IS WHY SHE SAID IT.ljabs]ybeglosreislueitgns

lol interesting.

Get the written application and send it in with a letter from a Rabbi of yours that verifies that you are a Sabbath observer. I think you might also need to put a code for Sunday test takers in there… The second tome you take it, you can apply online because they will remember that you are a Sunday test taker

I think he was kidding.

Anyway I don’t remember the question to the answer 'Loved her father as much as horse". Does anyone remember that question?

redjohn, it was elaborating on the previous sentence, which was just “she loved her dad” or something like that

anyone remember the sentences for the ones whose answers were “proscribed” and “matured…fulfilling”?

I think the answer to the girl question was that she was distant from her father in some way or they never understood each other

cedricgold91, you’re right. more specifically, it was about “her inability to empathize with her father”

yeah i think thats correct

hey, what do you think a -1/-2 on writing would be with a 10+ essay on this test?
I feel like the curve is gonna be really harsh.

its isolation bc when she was there she was isolated from the modern world which is why she said that it wud be better if her relatives moved to a more modern area(by a movie theater, etc so she wudnt be lonely. she hated the whole old school idenitiy deal and wanted her fam to move on to future-modern world

enjoy guys
