I used Law of Cosines for that one: two sides of the triangle were radii of length 1 and the angle between them was theta, so chord AB= sq rt(1^2+1^2-211*cos(theta))=sq rt (2-2cos(theta))

thanks ahua, the f(2x)= 3x^2 question was find f(x) given g(x) i think where the answer came out to be whatever the given equation was, /2. you had to then multiply by .5 to get the answer equal to f(x) instead of f(2x). the answer was the only one with 4 in the denominator i think

Thanks, GoodAtMath. That’s what I got, too.

There was also one with lim as x –> infinity of (3x+#)/x, which is 3

hiking, i believe the answer was 2. and did we come to a conclusion on the post office one? is it .4? that seemed too obvious to be an answer

Question about a rectangular solid with base diagonal root(85) and height 3. What’s the length of the longest diagonal?

Answer: root(94)=9.7

to collegebound: it must have been (2x+#) in the numerator then…Do you remember?

yeah it was like 2x + #

what was the one where you had to equate the abs values? and whats 5 skipped and 3 wrong give me? 780?

what was the least square regression line one?

one question had 0.8 or 0.9 as the answer. was it 0.8?
(sorry i can’t be more specific)

^least square regression was like 190 i think

and yes to nspiredone

is it just me, or was this test more difficult than previous ones?

lim as x –> infinity of (2x+#)/x, which is 2*

not sure about the post office…
all i remember:
A: __ miles away, 10km/h south (?) and moving towards
B: 2 miles away, 5km/h east and moving away
List of testable points, wouldn’t the closest be the triangle formed with the shortest hypotenuse?

.9 i think, it was the probability q, I just looked at it and was like, this cannot be lower than .9

and yes least square regression was 190.

can anyone explain the base diagonal one?

I believe the post office question was 24. However the probability question was a puzzler for me. I thought the probability of getting a sum of two numbers greater than five was .8

i skipped the .8/.9 on the test and just did it now, i got 79/100 possible options, which rounds to .8
