what was your composite last time?

English: Done 10 minutes early, double-checked almost all answers.
Math: Okay.
Reading: Started running out of time so didn’t even read the last two passages completely, just answered questions lol ![]()
Science: Ran out of time for last 2 questions.
Essay: Okay, had time to review.

It was my first time taking the test, with no preparation at all save for the three official ACT sample tests.

@nina: Florida State, U of Florida, U of Central Florida, and Flagler College. I already got accepted to UCF so I’m not too worried about that, and Flagler’s middle range ACT is like 3 points lower than mine, and FSU superscores - but I would loooveee to go to UF, although it’s a bit of a reach. So, I guess I just meant I wish UF superscored, haha.

This is my second time taking the ACT. I got a composite 28 last time.

English: easy as always for me
Math: harder than normal unfortunately
Reading: went really well (hoepfully)
Science: easier than normal
This was my last time taking the test! So hopefully I do well.

Not my first time, it’s like my fiftieth! Haha. No, really. It was my seventh (and final) time taking the ACT today. I’m pretty stoke that I don’t have to cram anymore. Now I can focus on wrapping up Senior year and heading off to college!

Wow seven times is a lot!

One of my friends has taken it 12 times! TWELVE! She started in her Freshman year. Ended up with a 36. Super jelly of her!

the math part was crazy… i did good in everything else, skipped a few in science though. did anyone get the ellipse question for the math part?

what was the question?

yea, it was something like (x-4)^2/16 + (y-8)^2/4 =1… i think. there was something similar but with x+4 and y+8, which can’t be true because the center of the circle was (4,8). Math had some tough questions that would be hard for students who haven’t taken trig yet. After the test I talked to my friend who is in trig this year and he thought the math was pretty hard. I took honors trig last year, so those problems weren’t too tough for me.

I hope I get a 32… idk! i was hoping this was the last ACT for me :(

I thought english was hard… ive been doing practice from PR and this time it felt different.
not sure if its because i had alot of the same letters clumped together… hhaha

MATH. OMGGG. ive been getting 36 in math the past few ACTs… but this time… i think i got a 33/34. didn’t pace myself

reading was actually pretty easy (doesn’t mean i did well lol) since the topics related to me ![]()
hope i got a 30+

and science… i thought i got a perfect… idk

idk if i should automatically send this score :(

what form did you have? I don’t remember that question.

I remember that math question and I got it right! Yay!

If you’re referring to me, 71A i think

I don’t remember it either… hell, I don’t remember most of the math at all.

I had 71A too

@fadedviolinist (haha, your username reminds me of one of the Reading passages…)

But on the English I had quite a few letters clumped together as well! A lot of J’s/D’s and B’s/G’s. Mainly the latter. After I finished that section I began to freak out. So many in a row.

What did you guys get for the question that asked for the length of Arc AB?

English- Slightly harder than September, but still quite easy. hoping to match my previous 35
Math- Easier than September (where I put C for the last 10 or 15 but still managed to get a 26), but still difficult. Never learned anything about ellipses or a couple other topics on there, and i’ve been the Honors/AP track (geometry, alg 2/trig, precalc, and now stats). Hoping for a 28
Reading- Very easy, easier than ever. Hoping for 33-34
Science- Way easier than usual, hoping for a 32. Glad that 2 of the passages were about easy physics topics, and one was about a simple chem topic. Rushed for time a little at the end, but thank god the last two questions were ridiculously easy. Hoping for a 30
Essay- I hate writing these, so I’m hoping for a 9 or 10. Our topic was whether teenagers should be allowed to have credit cards.

All in all, I’m pretty confident that I can raise my best score from a 30 to a 31, and I only really need that one extra point for my dream school (to be at their 75% of admitted students)

@drdre94, I think I put 20pi, thinking it was half of the circumference?
