October 2012 SAT Discussion

I had 2:1. There was a post and market at the start of each trail, resulting in 4 posts and 8 markers

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC

did anyone get “to propose an alternative something”…something along those lines

@notnow123487, its 54. the missing cube doesn’t affect it.

Wasn’t the trail 8:4 which is 2:1?
There were 7 and 3 ON the trail but you had to take into account the rest stop at the beginning and the marker at the beginning. So 8:4 OVERALL.

For the last grid-in… Was it exactly “AT LEAST 1” or just 1 when it came to what equaled 5%? I remember it as the latter so my answers was 1420.

Mired means muddied. This is because they were mired in lakes. They weren’t stuck they were muddied. Also I think it was 7-3 because there are 18 miles every 2.5 miles is a rest: 7.

no i didn’t put to propose an alternative there was another answer i thought fit better but i can’t remember what

pretty sure the ratio for trail was 2:1. there was a rest and a marker at the start. and each 2.5miles was another mark, and 6 miles was a rest. so 18/2.5 = 7 ish and 18/6=3. so 8/4

I had 1600 for the 5% school population. Anyone else?

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC

I had propose an alternative

divy…sorry but i think you are mistaken for both of those questions…it was stuck and it was 2 to 1

FOR THE APE ONE. you someone but that the passage 1 guy thought that his position might seem unreasonable or something like that?!?

“Stuck” makes more sense than “muddied” because let’s remember WHY the dinosaurs were in the swamp in the first place; they were too heavy of foot to live on the land! Therefore it makes total sense that they would be stuck in one place, or mired, in the swamp. Yes, they were muddied, this is true, but thats not an answer to WHY they were in the swamp in the first place (which was the question!)

Did anyone get a CR section on dinosaurs? I’m hoping this is real… it was so easy!

FOR MATH EXPERIMENTAL

i had 2 math sections in the beginning. did everyone have that ice cream chart one? i hope not! that one was alot harder than my 1st math section…

If the sides of the triangle were 5 and 12, wasn’t the max perimeter 33?

yes, the max was 33 (triangle inequality theorem)

The question was what word fit best and muddied does because they were in swamps. They were not stuck they were placed there.

Perimeter was 33.

Ice cream? I didn’t have that. Must have been experimental

can someone please predict a curve

YESSSS. so no one had that ice cream chart one for people who had writing experimental? the one that was to solve for how much ice cream was sold on sunday and the avg had to be divisible by 10?
