wait if the parathyroid hormone decreases (b/c the gland is removed), does calcium level increase or decrease?

i wrote decrease… but then again, i’m pretty sure i got like everything wrong. i’m sending in a score cancellation form… do you think the november one would be easier?
What’d you guys get for the one that asked about which one doesn’t use oxygen? i think that was the question… the answer choices consisted of different cycles (eg calvin cycle)

parathyroid hormone question was so hard…

dont remember that question

but for the calcium one, doesnt the graph show that as pth decreases, calcium increases?
but when i searched online, pth increases calcium so idk

@canunot
r u sure that all vitamins hv similar structures?

for the vitamin question what were the other answer choices? because i’m pretty sure i didn’t choose the similar structure choice
also who took molecular?

i only remember two answer choices
like they have similar structures
and all animals use the same vitamins
b/c those were the choices i hesitated btwn

The other choices were:
humans cannot produce vitamins
all animals need the same types of vitamins
all vitamins have similar structures
vitamins are only effective in large dose

wait i didnt think an answer choice was humans cant produce vitamins
if that was the choice, thats prob the answer since bacteria in humans produce vitamins, not us
not sure

I thought it was really hard. I’m lucky if I get a 500 :(

i chose humans cannot produce vitamins,
i remember it said something about how they need to consume it from the environment
i dont even know, i messed up so much in the beginning oh my god

@TenAcidT: Probably, I did E and don’t remember anything like that.

thIS TEST LITERALLY MADE ME CRY
i came home crying i just
i can’t

i put that animals have to ingest vitamins through food, but that one was tough so it’s a toss-up.
the PTH questions required outside knowledge; PTH increases blood calcium. since the parathyroid gland secretes PTH, it can be deduced that the removal of the gland will led to a decrease in PTH. IF PTH decreases, blood calcium levels would decrease as well.

how about the pine tree question?? is it rocky soil or less evaporation?
For the vitamin question, human skin can make vitamin D, so i eliminated that.

did you guys get “ammonia” as a choice for the first 4 questions on the test?

@laurr yes please tell me it was right bc I’m 99% sure I got a 490

yeah for number 3, bacteria makes it

the pine tree question is definitely less evaporation. the barrons book touched upon it.
ammonia was the correct answer for one of the first four questions

do most colleges allow score choice, or will all my SATii scores show up? because i’m not sure whether i should cancel my score or not
but i have the form with me, and i literally filled in like 50/80 questions the first time around.
