This is regarding the math level 2 paper… I think the question on 3sinx + 2 in the denominator is faulty because you get x as 312 degrees which when converted to rads doesnt match with what is given.
How is the curve likely to be?

what did you guys think?

Hey guys. Let’s hold off on the specific problem discussion until around 12 when we know the PST guys are taking it. They are not necessarily at the test centers yet. We don’t want to make the curve worse by giving away answers!

They curve the tests before students take them.

You’re right. Forgot about that. Still though, I think we could stand to hold off on the discussion for an hour or two just to make sure that we’re not inadvertently bumping up others’ scores.

That seemed easier than the one I took in May. I only skipped like 2-3.

I skipped 2 and probably got 1-4 wrong at most. Would that be an 800? Oh and what did everyone get for the last question (#50)?

^ It depends on how many you missed, a composite of about 44 is needed for the 800. Omitting two means that you have a maximum composite of 48. If you missed 1-3 questions you should be at 46.75-44.25 which is an 800. More than three means you didn’t get it.

Q#50: -1-2i

-1-2i is right, you needed to take the number they gave and multiply it by i. (Reason: i^4 = 1, so the 10th, 14th, 18th, … etc. terms are all the same. The 98th term is the same as the 10th term, then, so to get the 99th term just multiply by i.)

Hey guys what was the answer of the sequence and series question??? was it 11000 or something like that?

Was the student council (some type of election thing) one 840?

^I don’t remember a question like that… Can you give a little more detail about it?

It was asking how many teams of 5 members (3 seniors and 2 juniors?) could be made from like 8 seniors and 6 juniors… I’m not sure if the numbers are exactly correct sorry…

yeah i got 840 too!
@henry123disney:: haha i dont remember the question :/. Something like ’ how many triangles do the 150th one has?’ or something like that

What was the one with sin A = 0.3 and asked for cos A where the range was from pi/2 to pi?

Was it the one where sum = 1 + (n-1)*(2)?

yeah that one!

pikafruit
That’s not the sum, but the number of triangles in the nth row.

was it asking for the sum or no. of triangles in the 150th?
