bintsk
number of triangles in 101st

I got 2002 instead of 840, because it asked for 14 combination 5 too

^Matthew5, Don’t you have to only multiply the combinations together? You don’t have to add the separate groups (juniors and seniors) together and compute its combination again.

Sorry for asking this, but did any of you understand how to do #45-the one with the exponential regression problem. That was the only one i wasn’t sure of. It would be great help if any of you replied.

Ooops yeah I didn’t mean the sum sorry about that

I’d like to add that I got 840 as well. And for the triangle one, I got 201.

:(… uhm I wasn’t sure about that one either… It think the values were 0weeks/300, 5weeks/850, and 10 weeks 1520…

Cerca yeah that would be true if it was asking for each one and their total, but this said how many ways can 5 be arranged i thought? In Barron’s it says do what I did.

o.o wasn’t it saying the 25th and 75th percentiles so 50%…? I’m not sure I had barely any time to look at that one

50% TenAcidT. That is the answer

pretty sure the box plot is 50%. thats the definition of a box plot…

I got 24 weeks for the number to be over 10,000

The two values were on the 1st quartlie and the 3rd quartile. Those are the 25% point and 75% points on a box and whisker plot. 75-25=50

pretty sure it’s 21 for the amount of weeks for exponential regression because it said at LEAST 10000

Thanks levlevlev11 for replying quickly. Can you elaborate on how you obtained the answer.

Well I just checked back in my calc and I had 0,400 not 0,300
That could completely change the answers. Either I typed it in wrong or you typed it wrong here on the page

if anyone else remmebrs more questions please post.

And all you have to do is have a TI-84 and use the ExpReg on the Stat Plot setting. Just input the correct x and y values, and calculate the exponential regression. Then just use the formula to find when it’s over 10,000

It’s (0,400)

Thanks Levlevlev11 & Johnkim614. You guys were a big help.
