***October 2013 - Mathematics Level 2***

Lev yeah it asked for cosA. I tried to intersect sinA with 0.3 but I kept making mistakes in the left and right bound. I remember marking the last answer choice though

i didn’t understand the question for the population one… 92% increase?

i think i got -.9539 because it was in the 2nd quadrant or something??

^ I put that, but you unfortunately multiply the two combinations, not add ;(

nope for the student council one, i added the two combinations instead of multiplying/…

It was actually .92%. I’m also confused by that. Would that mean you use .0092 as the rate?

what did you guys get for the one that was like f(x) = g(x), what is a way to find the points of intersection? i said D (you can use the y values or x values) but i’m not sure at all if that was correct

edit: ugh okay apparently there’s some h(x) = g(x) - f(x) which also works but i didn’t know about that so i guess i got that wrong…

Quick confirmation guys, so that im 100 percent sure
The answer for that last one with ‘i’ is C right?
Please confirm

yep that’s what i did (after stupidly trying .92, then .092 like 20 times) and i got the right answer

kerning i have no idea. i just remember putting A for that one. im cancelling this test anyway. it was way too difficult

@kara2024

I think I put (A), which was I. Only

This test wasn’t too bad. By my standards, I’d be ecstatic with a 750+

What did you get for the roman numeral problem with f(x) and g(x)…the choices were find the y-values of the intersection, x-values, and h(x)=f(x)-g(x) zeros…there are definetely points on graphs where they have the same x value but different y-values, but are there points when they have the same y-values for different xs…anyways I put y-values and the zeros

For f(x)=g(x) I said intersect for x and find zeros h(x)=f(x)-g(x) (I and III?). Pretty sure thats right because they wanted you to solve equation for x. I don’t think intersecting for y was right because then you would have to set one of sides of the equations equal to the y value and solve for x to solve the equation so it seemed like they were only asking about what would give you an immediate answer.

Omitted 5 but haven’t gotten any wrong yet according to y’all. Who knows what is actually right and wrong though? Lenient curve anyone?

I think I put both I. and II. are true. I was sort of guessing

i just hope i didn’t make any stupid mistakes…besides that one f(x) = g(x) and the 3 that i left blank, i think i did well.

This is seems like a pretty dumb question, but I got a lot of d’s and e’s straight in a row for like 10 questions…anybody else? I thought I knew what I was doing, just worried about dumb mistakes

For that one, i put I and III only.

It was I and III because the intersection of x and f(x)-g(x) can both give u the same answer.

Does anyone know if they curve this test? Or is it always the same curve?
