Is there a way to get newer official practice tests ? 2013 and on ?
Also I heard test changed drastically and not much prep material was released to practice new stuff.Math got a lot harder ?
What is ACT scanner? I’ve never heard of it…
Jee the redesigned writing section freaks me out.It wil be count in composite score from now on right ?
ACT scanner is when curtain test centers are chosen for quality control and scores delay for about a week.(to my understanding)

My daughter took the September 12 test and although she got the MC score, she has not received the writing score yet so a score report cannot go out until all her scores have been reported. It has been 5 1/2 weeks and she is still waiting. And she is not the only one. I called up ACT and they give their blanket statement that the scores are reported 2 to 8 weeks after the test was administered and the tests they score are random. She wasted a lot of time and money over the summer to study for this test because she may not be able to use them. Her early action deadlines are fast approaching. Hopefully they get their act together for you guys.
@evelyn1 she should still report her MC scores as part of early action package.
ACT has until 11/5 to report the writing score. I hope you get the writing scores soon.
As a general rule, I advise all of my EA/ ED students to get the testing done by June of Junior Year.
( I know this does not help you, but may help a future reader of this thread.)
Is there anything different about the reading? I know the essay is different with the perspective thing. Are there paired passages? I need just 34 in reading so any tips?
The september math was hard? Does that mean it ll ease off in october? I thought english was easy so it was very selective, but math was average.
Does anyone have a lead or knowledge about this upcoming saturday’s test?
Hey, how do the Red Book Scores compare to the actual test. That’s the only book I used (and the scores are fluctuating, I scored anywhere from a 29 to 35 LOL)

@heretohelp Thank you! We are going take your advice. The Pitt representative said it was fine to send in a screenshot. There is not a deadline for Pitt but at least maybe they will hold off on their decision until they receive the official score report. I will send to the other schools as well. They may not do anything with it but it is worth a shot. So frustrating that it has come to this. Good luck everyone with your October test!

@evelyn1 I know it is frustrating, and you are not alone. Call the other schools and send them the screenshot. If the high school puts them on a report card or letterhead that also can help.
@Melissa009 I just used the ACT writing prompt I found on their website. I like the old ACT writing section better. I don’t even know why I signed up for the writing section, none of the colleges I’m applying to require it…
Scored a 34 on the Sept test but I’m signed up for the October test. Haven’t looked at anything SAT related in like 5 or 6 weeks. Should I take it anyways?
