Can a 27 get into schools like bing, umich, tulane, and northeastern if everything else is pretty solid
Guys should I try to retake for a 30? Is it possible? What should I do???
Composite:29
E:34
M:29
CR: 26
S:28
@newyorksports98 Bing, Tulane and BU would all be reaches. You may want to take ACT one more time in December for Binghamton and apply regular decision instead of early action, in order to increase your chances for admission. Your chances are better if your gpa/course work compensates–did you take mostly honors and AP courses and have a gpa in the top 10% of your class? Also it depends what program within these schools you apply to. Binghamton school of management is probably out of your reach, but you have a decent chance for Binghamton’s Harpur College, although with a 27 you probably won’t get a decision until the end (late March or early April).
I got a 28…
I actually thought I did good on science, but went from a 29 to a 24. Although, the subject I thought i did bad on, reading, went from a 23 to a 30. Hopefully the University of Michigan accepts me!!!
I’m so happy right now !! So so happy!! Went up 1 English, 2 Math, Same reading, 2 Science. So so happy
Still no score? I have a tested status but it still says not everything has been processed. Nothing was wrong with my test center and I’m in New England. Hopefully it’ll be up by 9?
@AcceptableName Without any hook (urm, legacy, athlete) a 28 ACT will not likely be good enough to get you into Michigan, especially if you are OOS. Michigan does not superscore the ACT and a 24 subscore in Science will make your chances less. Consider retaking ACT in December and apply regular decision.
For those of you who are Seniors and whose scores need a little boost to make some of your reaches a better chance for a match (and hence, Admission!) consider taking the ACT again on December 12 and applying before the Regular Decision deadline. But make sure the schools you are applying to will accept the December ACT scores. Look on their websites or call the schools to confirm. And study harder to make sure your scores go up, not down!
comp28. E. 29 M.28 S.27 R.26 expected higher for reading n science but I’m grateful. I hope my schools don’t just shut me down seeing I’m international. haha
32 :((
I’m so confused. Got a 35 on my reading (it’s my weakness) & and a 31! on my math (I was expecting a 35/36)
Whatever, it was my first try.
And damn that science curve lolol
@Naquinator Same thing happened to me! My science and math scores dropped 17 points combined.
@trackmbe3 I am a URM, first generation, and live in Michigan with a 4.0 unweighted gpa. I am also going to be valedictorian at my high school. The average ACT here is a 15, so I am a genius compared to everyone else. Does this help me out in any way? I also already applied early action. I told them that I will be taking the October ACT.
acceptablename are you trying to make a joke or something
Hey! I haven’t gotten my scores but I’m just wondering how you think the math curve is. I know I have 3 wrong already, and I got an 35 in math in June so I’m worried. Is 3 wrong potentially a 35?
@AcceptableName I think all the credentials you mention will make a big difference in the result. Just make sure you write good essays and show Michigan your interest and I think you are in!!! Good luck!
I ended up falling asleep 30 mins before they were posted and I just woke up and the website is down!! Omg, I want to know!!
Went down one point in every single subject… Ugh
Very pumped my daughter just received a 35 composite score… She is hoping to get into Georgetown hope this puts her in the game…
How can I raise my CR score up to 30+? what kind of practice did you do to raise it? And do you think I can raise my CR score from a 28 to a 30 in a month?
@Jordie12345
I think I got 5 wrong for math and ended up with a 33, so it’s likely
