Is it just me or is ACT website going really slow for everyone else? Did it crash again or what?
It’s very slow . 
My score improved from a 30 to a 31 since September without studying a lot so I can’t complain. I’m probably going to take it at least one more time to get a 33 or above. Is the real act prep guide the best book to work with?

@GrammarJew For me, what got me a 33 was answering as I read.
I didn’t get to finish the Reading, but I’m guessing my strategy worked well enough.
I haven’t seen much curve predicting on this forum so I figure we could start now. If everyone could write their score with a range they predict they could’ve gotten wrong on that section in parentheses, and then copy and paste their score afterwards:
English: 36 (up to 1)
Math: 36 (up to 1)
Reading: 33 (3-5)
Science: 35 (1-2)

So I received a 32 (which is a little disappointing). Does anyone have tips to raise it to the 34/35 range? Especially English and science lol
Erica Meltzer’s book is a fantastic resource for english. Science is a little trickier to get into via self-study, you have to treat the scarce practice tests with soft hands, and really work through them in your post-test analysis. The Black Book is a good aid in doing that. A good tutor for science will also help a ton.
I’m curious, I’ve taken the ACT with the new writing twice now and both times I’ve gotten a 26. What has everybody else scored? I scored a 10/12 on the previous format, so I’m confused.
@stoked Thanks. Also for the English section, I actually got an 18 for the usage/mechanics section (which I think is perfect). I need to improve on the rhetoric section, which I scored a 14. Any resources for that?
First time taking for me with little to no practice/study time. Overall, I think I did well, but I have a long way to go.
English - 30
Math - 25
Reading - 26
Science - 25
Composite - 27
English and math are right at what I expected them to be, reading is a little higher, and science is way lower than I expected. My next attempt will be February with a goal 30 then 33 by June!

DS got a 35 on the Math section. He missed 1. -not sure how many you could miss and keep that score though.

I didn’t study for anything but English. My math score is horrible (it’s a weakness for me) so I’m taking again in December.
