SAME! Ughh I was .25 from a 32 Composite!
Should I retake the ACT?? And do colleges (like ivies) see all attempts?
@Upenngirl98 Just addressing UPenn to superscore my ACT…but they most likely will not…
Ivies want every ACT you have taken to be sent…Though ACT sends only the date you request…So you have to send each date separately…If you don’t send all your scores…Idk
OHhhh LOL Ugghh Is it okay if I don’t send a test in though?
They specifically say they want all of them…so probably not. I don’t know what happens if you don’t.
Hey everybody,i usually just read through this discussions never really respond but I took this act in October, and didn’t really do as well as I hoped. I studied roughly for 1 week, got scores all around 22-23 except for reading where i got a 27. I think of my myself as smart and who ,I think, can score a 30+ and after taking this exam I didn’t get that which kinda bummed me out. Just wondering with all the smart minds around here if anyone had tips on to increase my grade 6 Points+. I am taking it again in December and am willing to work hard this time, so if there is any book that is better i should get or any method of studying, all types of information and tips are appreciated please and thanks.
@AcceptableName. I thought I did really good on Science…when I saw my score it shocked me…
I actually thought I got a 33 on science…but ended up getting a 25. I have no idea how that happened.
Why is this happening to everyone…the science thing. I dont understand tbh
35 ENGLISH
34 MATH
35 READING
27 SCIENCE
33 COMPOSITE
@kidfromNJ did you think you did well on the science section or nah?
Hey y’all, this was my third time taking the act
First time- felt ok on the science section but got a 31
2nd- felt bad and got a 24
3rd- felt better than the second time but worst then the first, thought it ould be a 28 but I got a 34.
Very fluky because the 1st and 3rd time it was my best section but thought it would be my worst
C: 30
E: 35
M: 31 Thought I did better
R:29
S: 25 This was surprising
Oh well looks like I’ll be taking the ACT for the last time in December
Any advice on consistently scoring well in science would be appreciated
@harsh98 I thought that I did well on science. Got a 25
Curve predictions:
English: 35 (1-2 wrong?)
Math: 34 (2-4 wrong?)
Reading: 36 (0-1)
Science: 35 (1-2)
Hope this helps! By the way, did anyone get like a freakishly high score that they were not expecting at all? In September I got a 32 with 29 in M and S and 35 in R and E, and for October I only studied Math but somehow shot up to a 35 composite? I can hardly believe this is possible… Could they have made a mistake?
@ricka8
I got a freakishly high score as well
I took the test twice last year and got a 28 and 29 with a 31 superscored
When I took the test in october I took a practice test on the thursday and one on the friday before( that was my only preparation) I got a 30 and a 29 and I was sick so I almost didnt go because I thought I would just get another 29, but I went and got a 33, Certainly could have been a mistake
Plus on my practice tests I got 34s on the math but on the test I got a 32 which doesnt seem right, and from my pracice tests to the real one my english went up from 28 to 33
@kidfromNJ how many wrong do you think you got on math?
@harsh98 no I thought the score was fair. I was pretty fatigued when I got to that section. I got a 33 on science on the Septemeber ACT so I was planning on super scoring
@Jordie12345 I have to say maybe 4-5 ? Might be more or less idk. I was pretty confident about that section though. Hope this helps
