Lucky!
@TheFutureDoc16 ahhh you’re so lucky i hope you did well
Yea I also got my writing score! Hmm…
I guess 25 is good? IDK how their new grading works… It’s so weird how some scores were released so soon.
It’s out of 36 !
i heard many people were surprised with low scores… im so scared
@Dave437 ??? Am I from where?? Dena??
Some writing scores are already up? How did this happen since ACT is never this early in posting writing scores?
I have a writing score, but I am having a very hard time believing it is correct. I got a 30 composite with a 35 reading and 28 English and scored a 14 on writing. If that is correct, this new grading system is severly skewed. In addition, some Sept testers still have not received their MCQ scores yet (although I think many of them are international, but not 100% positive). There were major delays with scoring the Sept writing because of the new format, so I find it pretty hard to believe that with the prior format (which was easier to grade) I had to wait way longer, but this time I got my score in no time right after a major delay? My scores were also posted on Monday (Which they should not have) and my writing appeared today… I am contacting ACT about the situation and will update you as soon as I hear anything.
For September I got my writing score back as a 34… I don’t know what’s going on. It seems that people’s scores are either really high or really low and I’m really confused
@HuskieFan2 So I’m no the only one that is freaking out about my writing score. I received a 32 English and a 30 reading. How in the world did I get a 20 on writing?! Did they just rush everything?
People who received writing, what state did you test in
WHAT the heck I got a 30c but a 20 on the essay(writing)!!! I know that I am a way better writer.
Listed as Tested and still didn’t receive ACT multiple choice scores (Massachusetts). Anyone else not have their scores yet?
@AcceptableName It’s crazy! I think this is happening a lot, so I think that they will be receiving a lot of emails/phone calls about it. This was supposed to be a way to benefit the students in regards to grading, but I think it has done more damage than good.
@songmino How long did it take for you to get your writing score? Congrats on the great score though compared to everyone else!
@ACTstudentcc I tested in IL
@HuskieFan2 I got it pretty early compared to a lot of people, I’m not sure of the exact date. Thank you though! I studied the grading rubric before I took it
@ACTstudentcc I tested in TN
I just got my scores back…
C: 35.25
E: 35
M: 35
R: 35
S: 36
I went up from a 32 to a 35, which I was not
expecting at all. Being .25 away from a perfect score kinda stings but I’m so grateful for
getting a 35. Good luck to everyone else and
keep working hard!
Anybody from Colorado who already got his/her writing scores back?
From Kansas…got writing score back today. 29. It seems I’m married to the score of 29. Got 29 composite this time as well. I got the impression from previous discussions that a 29 on the new writing is a better score than we typically think of a 29 being, but since ACT still puts the “how to further improve” message next to it, I conclude that’s not the case.
My kid has still not received any of his scores.
