***OCTOBER 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

I just hope I improved.

Anyone remembering questions from reading section especially from the dog passage

I hope I made at least a 30 this time. A year and a half ago I made a 27 with no studying and math and science had been bringing me down. Fingers crossed…

@writerzt71 Literally same boat as me. I took it in June with no prep, got a 27. Took it again last month with no prep and got a 29. Science and math holding me back from that 30 :frowning:

Luckily I think I did really well on those two this time; not reading though! O.o

Anyone screw up on that 2nd reading passage? I feel like that’s what gave me the most trouble :frowning: I guessed on almost every question…

@aznboi4981 same! I felt better about math and science ironically, reading I felt good about, but the English stressed me out so much I could barely focus. I usually do well on it too so I’m not looking forward to that score.

Hopefully we did well though! : )

IMO:

English - kinda hard (harder than usual atleast)
Math- easy (prolly missed 5)
Reading - hard (especially the dual)
Science - easiest ever

I thought science and english were good. Math a little hard, but reading i screwed up with the timing. Last practice reading i took i got a 34 with time to spare but my proctor said 5 min left when I started the final passage. I annoyed at that cause i thought i was doing well with time

I had form 75A and I did notice that English question, but I can’t remember the number. I had to guess on that one.
The only test I almost ran out of time on was Science, I had to guess most of the questions on the final passage :frowning:

Did anyone get a lot of C’s I the beginning of science. Like a row of 4 of them?

No…prolly different forms

Took it today: thoughts:

English - fair, maybe a bit easier because I knew what I messed up on now
Math - harder than the practice test I took, about 2/3 difficult ones
Reading - easy
Science - easy

All I can say is this was way easier than the October SAT…I thought I’d take both in order to compare the two and see which one was best for me, and the ACT is BY FAR easiest. Math was decent, guessed on two. English was super easy, shooting for a 36. Reading was alright, probably missed 3-4 because I skimmed part B in the opposing views section. Science was probably the most difficult. I was pressed for time but made it throught with 2 min to check my answers and probably missed 4-5. The essay was interesting, though I was so dead from the rest of the exam that I probably lost some easy points.

Overall not a bad experience! Would do (and will do) again!

bombs English and reading tests
comes home
eats full tub of ice cream
cries

Took the ACT, hopefully for the last time. I honestly thought it was overall easier than the one in September. The math and English I felt like were a lot easier. Reading and science were alright. Shooting for that 34.

@harsh98 what form did u have, I had 75A

Is it reportable how my proctor said we had 5 min left, but really there were only 2 left? We were shorted 3 min for the reading section.

@16jpatel Ya I didnt get a lot of C’s

Math was definetely harder than usual. I had gotten 36’s on the past few tests i took but i was stuck on the last two which i hopefully got right. Cos 2A was like B^2-1 right? then on science the tadpole one i didnt put amino acids which was probably the easiest question on the test and i will probably regret for the rest of my life. Also, did student two believe that there could be more than one velocity? Reading and Science were pretty easy, grammar def harder then usual. Shooting for 34/35 but i’m upset about that stupid mistake with amino acids and unsure of my last few math answers.
Anyone remember reading/science questions? i want to make myself feel good. any questions, i just want to know if i was right
Also, do you think the curve will be good for this one? It certainly was harder than usual

I put -1
