@Synonyms I think that was experimental. I had a writing dummy, and I don’t recall that question from any of my math sections
@Suly99 Would you mind elaborating a bit?
@Synonyms I think it was an experimental question because I didn’t have that one.
YES. THANK YOU HOMUCIFER-SAMA FOR HAVING ANSWERED MY PRAYER. Seriously, that question had me stumped. @Starior @NParker Thank you.
I would still liked to know the solution though. Just in case I’ll need to retake the SAT or sth.
What was the answer for the question The meaning of enjoy? I got stuck between savor and command but I chose command.
Also @michael008 what were the questions of sentence completion heredity, sentence completion Collaborative…shared, Sabura passage self-ability and plausible but offensive?
Command.
Question of heredity was sth along the line of inheritable from parents to children.
The Saburo question was “what does the part from line X to line Y mean?” It’s the part where Saburo talked about how he ended up choosing the 800-meter track over the marathon and the sprint. Answer was realistic.
No idea about the rest.
How is it command when savor is literally a synonym to enjoy?
What cr score will I receive if I omitted 2 answers and got wrong on 6~7 questions? (for 2015 oct test)
think it should be savor
It wasn’t 2/9 it was 1/9. Probability question.
@inshm2016 Because it was enjoying popularity (or sth along those lines). You can’t exactly savor popularity, but you can totally command popularity. While the thesaurus dictionary is your best friend, in SAT, the context determines all.
1/9 solution:
There were 36 students. 5 rows and 8 students per row, so 40 seats in total. The teacher was filling them up CONSECUTIVELY from the first row. So after the first 4 rows are filled, 32 students are seated, leaving 4 students, which will be seated in the last row. So 4/36=1/9.
I’m pretty enjoy was savor, not command.
What was the answer for the question that asked for an example in the creative passage? (An artist who releases a new song in front of fans, etc.)?
what was the score curve for march 2015? esp cr. was it harsh???
@DeadShot Ah, now I get it. Thank you.
@NParker And I’m sure that it was command, not savor. The question was in the creativity passage, and it was talking about how the work of arts of some artist or another only enjoyed popularity/appraisal/sth long after the artist was dead.
@NParker A researcher whose work was picked as the topic for a scientific conference.
@Synonyms What do you think I will get if I missed 6 on the CR?
you do not command enjoyment, u just savor it
@NParker … I have no idea. About 700? I heard that this test curve was quite lenient.
@inshm2016 No one command or enjoy enjoyment, just as no one savour popularity/appraisal. Check with your dictionary (normal/collocation/thesaurus). You’ve got a best friend. Why don’t you use him/her?
