I definitely had Math as an experimental section - I had 4 total of them. Most likely culprit is the one that had a pictograph of gallons of gas, although I’m not completely sure.
Definitely did better than the June 6th test, I think.

@BobbyMD You seem certain that you know the answer. Only the College Board knows the answer to the question; that is the reason why there is a debate. This is a thread for the October 2015 SAT you know…
@satwreckerZ2 Yeah most schools I visited said SAT with 2 subject test or ACT with writing.
@grparker21 True
I think I’ll post basic comments about what I thought of the test.
Senior, third and last time taking the test.
First Sitting: 2140 (690CR/800M/650W/9E)
Second Sitting: 2210 (680CR/800M/730W/10E)
This sitting:
Math: easy.
CR: I think I bombed???
Writing: meh prob same score or higher as last time
Same here. No prep. 28
But I took it last year September when I was still a junior. @satwreckerZ2
@satwreckerZ2 Is your SAT score good enough for acceptance at your top choice school? If not, I would recommend taking the SAT again unless the school requires the submission of subject tests.
@basedchem my mom works for college board so probably a little more accurate… also the point of this website is to ask for advice and questions so if you don’t have anything useful to add don’t comment. if i’m wrong then tell me and explain to the guy asking the question so he learns
@azwu331 I did have four, yeah. Also “@bdotstark Any math section with a table/chart/graph followed with 3 or 4 questions that relate to the table/chart/graph and each other is probably experimental” you people literally save my life. I missed so many questions on this section because the graph messed me up and I missed the problems afterwards. If it was experimental my math score is saved
@fishybopbop Yeah, the College Board is testing those types of questions for the new SAT in March.
Just a quick question, in what order were your subjects tested? Mine was:
Senior, 2nd and last attempt. 1st attempt was the botched June 6th test, and got a composite of 1830 (7 on the essay). Hoping I did a lot better this time.
CR: fairly confident I’ll get over 700
W: Depends on the essay. Only wrote 4 paragraphs, used 1 1/3 pages, not the greatest. Hoping for an 8-9, mid 600’s to low 700’s.
M: Pretty sure I trashed most of the questions, although I feel fairly confident about some. Hoping for mid 500’s to mid 600’s
@azwu331 Mine was exactly the same as you. And four was my experimental too. I was like “lol section 2 was so easy for math what happened”
I had the same as you.
So far:
Math: guessed 3 wrong, omitted 1 - 710 ish
Critical Reading: guessed 2 wrong (assuming “trace the origins” is correct) - 780 ish
Writing: Felt really good except for sinuous questions, praying it was no error - 780 is
Guys, I know this is really stupid, but:
I accidentally started my essay on the second page and finished it on the first. Any chance of getting 10+?
@azwu331 Mine looked like this:
I have no idea which CR section was the experimental one.
so did anyone have the section with the question about 3f(x)=f(3x)? I had an experimental math but I did not have all the graphs
@fhgirl16 Pretty sure that was experimental.
Senior, 3rd and last attempt
First sitting last year October (no prep)
(580CR 770M 670WR C2020)
Second sitting this year May (no prep)
(590CR 720M 610WR C1920)
This time, prepared for 1 weeks
Probably 680’s CR 750’s M 700’s WR
Not sure. Still Beg for 2300’s
