***October 2015 SAT (US Only) Thread***

What was your answer for the internet changing passage, where the question was about the relationship between P1 and P2? I said P2 supports P1, because even though it invalidates it at first, he supports it at the end

Do you know if it was part of the Grid ins or multiple choice?

This is referring to the marbles question

@xcalaber it was mc. I forget what they wanted you to find

I put than is because… I think it doesn’t make sense to say … They suffer by failing make changes. maybe it’s reasonable to say then don’t suffer by making changes though.

Did anyone get 3 C’s in a row in the improving paragraphs section???

So what’s the general consensus for disproves or casts doubt?

I put mocking other teachers, but I was kinda shaky on that one.

@concreteolives I don’t remember anything about C’s but I do remember I got many Bs in a row

What was the answer to the one with the 2 lines tangent to the circle and you needed to find the angle and you were given another angle that was 55 degrees i think?

@pat2442 I think the answer to that tangent one was 70 degrees

I put bold reassessment bc it went from saying how it is practiced in America to saying that it’s not the case in Japan.

@Ekl2498 how did you solve it?

For the improving paragraphs, did anyone select deleting therefore for the beginning of sentence 17. It was like “My mother is therefore not as happy about the arrangement as I am.” Also, did anyone select deleting the sentence about “Their room was right next to the library.”

@Garybarry Was there a multiple choice answer of 24 for that question ? Bc i have a feeling i might have put that as like u take away 12 to get 24

@ekl2498 true bro. I thought I made I was the only one. lol

@pat2442 it was 50 degree angle and the answer was 80. Do you remember if 40 was an answer choice tho?

@pat2442 I cannot really remember the problem too well. I do remember that it was based on the 180 degrees in a triangle fact. The given angle was 55, and then another angle (formed by the radius and tangent line ) was 90 because the radius hit the tangent line (must be perpendicular). The shape was a kite I think so there were two triangles with the 55 and 90 degrees. You had to find the missing angle in both (35 for each). Then they wanted you to find the angle in the kite that was comprised of both those angles in the triangle. So it was 35+35=70 degrees.

I put 40 degrees… Cuz it was split into 2

Same! @misterstax im not sure if they were asking for the whole angle or half
