Hi, I just finished the ACT today. How did you guys feel about the test? Hard? Easy? Annoying? Confusing?

MC Form: 64C
Writing: 10U

I found the math test slightly harder than usual, and the english test vice versa. Reading and science test went as expected.

I messed up the writing test though, could have written much more but only wrote roughly 2 pages…

I found the math harder than before. The others were easier than the last test… english and reading especially. Not to brag but considering I worked on reading a lot, I think I got 1-2 wrong on reading (not sure).

For math I was just stuck on 1 question, the money notepad saving question.

@Wilsoncw I got the exact same test as you. My writing and English sections were strongest. Nailed them (Almost no questions wrong. Pretty sure of it). Math went bad (as expected)… I think I got around 10 wrong and with science, the time was up and I had around 12 more questions to do so that *****ed me up. Reading went good as well. Maybe 2-3 wrong there.
What do you guys think the curve will be like? Any predictions on what my score could look like from this info?

I had no idea of what I read in passage 1 and 3, and for science Idk what the conflicting view point was about as well…

@pkteen there’s curving for the ACT? I thought it was just raw scores :o

Math was definitely a lot harder than expected. Reading and english went well for me, I found the science test manageable (still wasn’t easy though).

Let’s see what happens. I’ll be happy with a 31 (Composite) considering what I did with Math and Science today… Anything more than that would be fantastic but lets not get carried away :D

i got the same test as pkteen and wilsoncw…english was fine-ish…ill be happy with a 34 in that…maths wasn’t what i expected! i got like 3 to 4 wrong and i ran out of time!!
writing was ok…ran out of time as well but managed to finish it…science was ok…
essay was good at first…HORRIBLE towards the end…

at this point…ill probably be happy with a 33/34…but i have a feeling ill be getting something in the low 30’s…:/

I think I had the same test as the above posters. I, for some reason, felt Math to be very easy, though everyone in my test center found it abnormally hard. One thing for sure, it was easier than the one in September. English was normal, as was Science. Reading was lengthy, and the passages were much more difficult than last time.

@nat1818, even though I don’t know a lot about the math test(i don’t study it) I feel the questions were more difficult but more straight forward. Theres no questions about a runner running back and forth, or filling in a tank. But there were questions that are just plain complex, the 1500 miles question, so I think that why people say it’s hard.

@ pkteen, judging by your 10 wrong questions I would say high 20s to low 30s idk I really don’t care about math.

I think it goes within the expectation, maybe science part is a little bit confusing.

I think I had 65A or something like that… Math was really easy, but science was ridiculous this time :(

I had the brown test cover, I can’t remember what form.
English went ok, there were about 10 I was unsure of.
Math pretty good. There was about 8 I was unsure of.
Reading, I thought it was easy aside from the humanities essay!
Science, super hard. I don’t know about you, but I was lost a lot of the time.

I’m in the USA if that makes a difference.

@cellie I feel ya on the science part…
Oh man I need this 31 so bad X(
I hope I don’t have to retake the test…

Do you remember a question in the humanities passage that read which would the author not agree to about translated books? I remember putting “the translated books should be better than the original”. If you guys remember such a question, please tell me what answers you put.

I had 65A too. Maths was really good. Reading and English were average. I found science really hard as well :(

@Nat1818 I’m pretty sure the answer was “More work should be put into translating books properly” or something like that.

What do u think the test curve will be like, this time ?
