October 6 SAT CR passages

Like, 2 months? 3? 4? 5? I think I paid for quicker scoring. Is that even possible? i dont even remember.

"people who say "evening" with three syllables means they have a southern drawl or something. therefore i think it's dialect."

Yeah i was kind of confused there: was it the dialect or was it like a double meaning for equilibrum? like evening something out?

do u guys remember what u put for the purpose author 1 was in the history passage

dude, i am almost sure it was dialect. the sentence said it blatantly, with no hidden meaning. it was something like "...she would say the word with three syllables..." but this doesnt imply that it was a double meaning..... idk.

say that historians are valuable and indispensable guides or something

it actually could. e-ven-ing. like making something more even.

Dialect make perfect sense, but in context its evident that the double meaning answer is correct. The passage made no reference to region, but it dealt almost entirely with equilibrium, evening out, etc.

no, it WAS two meanings, and here's why:

1) the time between late afternoon and night
2) she liked it because it "smoothed" everything out; it "even"-ed day and night (like the verb to even)

what was the very last question, about what they disagreed most on? does anyone remember the answer for that.

and for the physics guy, what was the answer about the two communications?

What did you guys get for the captain's disposition in the sailor question. I put upset, but determine or something.

andreaaaaaaaaaa: i put that if history is relevant for the future but many say its the reliability of historians

i can't recall precisely but i chose that history or historians were indispensable guides and insightful ...

I'm pretty sure that's what I put too.

(threedaysgrace)

oh i think i put that the captain was distressed but determined.

andreaaa I put the reliability of historians and skipped the communication question
