the minority..i dont think it was illuminating? What was the answer choice. I know the minority had something to do with being skeptical. The minority saw through history’s flaws, and it was asking what the minority saw in something in the first passage, where history was praised

What about the one about someone going over a fence?
Was the author A. Determiend or B.Ambitious as a child? i put determiend.. total 50/50 guess

fence… what?

I had that fence passage as well. It may have been experimental though. I put ambitious and not liking consraints

yeah, it was experimental.

was the grandmother and her granddaugther writing for her to the grandmothers sister experimental?

///yes.///

haha good i left 5 SC’s blank on that one

what do you guys think it would take to get a 600 on this CR? (meaning how many points off the raw score could one lose and still attain a 600)

i took the one in may 06 and i got a 570
I need a 600+

i took the the june 07 one and i got a 550 with -19, and 6 ommitted

But why would the tone be sardonic? (this is kind of a late response)

If he was being sarcastic, then that means that he actually doubted their authenticity, which is why the passage ended up w/ something along the lines of “I don’t udnerstand why they don’t work on Wall Street” or something. No?

can someone PLEAZ tell me about the sentence completion question that had capitulate as an answer choice!!?!?!

does anyone want to argue collegeboard about the charlatan/oracle and the wi****l/restrained questions? i understand the arguments, but they seem so debatable still :/

it is clearly charlatan in my mind. I see no way why it would be oracle. Depends on your definition of restrained, but i could clearly see him YEARNING for scientists to be recognized. Of course, i had restrained too. I can see the arguement… but let’s face it…how many arguments have actually won with the collegeboard? I guarantee there is some tiny context clue that disproves one or the other.

i agree.

i also think that this is true. they were hard questions, but they were supposed to be hard.

im just glad i got both right ^_^. I would have actually been REALLY angry if it was oracle. I picked charlatan before looking at the other choices, because it fit perfectly lol

^ i was between oracle and charlatan
but then i was like..
oracle is a …thing isn’t it?
(idonno, naive thinking)

so the fortune tellers can’t be like.. fountains right?
so they must be Charlatan - as an adjective. lol

risky thinking. atleast u got it (hopefully, or else i got it wrong too)

i didnt even know oracle was a fortune teller. I would have thought it was some creepy girl like int he movie 300. I guess she was telling the fortune or w/e… but meh

what was the question about for restrained that was just discussed?

There was one question about like what the absence was when the photos werent on the wall. was the asnwer absence of tradition…?

i no anotyher choicve was like constricting/restraining force or soemthing.
