I previously scored 25 (24ERD, 27M) on the September ACT and was kind of worried so I decided to take many tests for the October one with the goal of getting +30. I was getting a similar score on practice tests but eventually I was able to get 30s on it (31-34E, 30-33M, 30-31R and 30-32S) and I was confident that this one was going to be my last one. Today I logged in and it turns out that I scored 25 again (25E,28M,20R,26S). I am currently furious for my low score and desperate because I have pretty much took almost every test on the crack act website. IDK if I should consider tutoring or switching to the sat as the time on reading and science is my Achilles heel. Tell me more, I will have to apply soon too and I am aiming to Cornell, GTech, Caltech and similar ones (my academics are great but the act is killing me)
I am assuming you are junior, right? why not tried a timed SAT ? Did you time yourself during the practice tests? If you do, I would assume that you had a bad day during the October test… I will register again.
